Makin' Memories What We Do Best, With Family and Your Tail Wagging Friends.

"Makin' Memories" Bungalow (1340 sq ft) was originally built in 1919 and was an original Mill House, (one level) also known as a Shotgun House. I has had numerous add-ons over the last 110 years. The house has been totally gutted and remodeled with new electric, plumbing, and all of that good stuff! The Battle of Missionary Ridge was fought on this property, located on a 2 block street. I have found bullets, cannon balls, and shot when digging in the flower beds. I even discovered an old tractor petal when it was a farm and cow pastures years ago. My insurance will not cover pit bulls, chows, Rottweilers, or dobermans, or any mixed breeds that have these three. I live across the street and behind my house the gardens are located. It is an old 3 tiered lot with 2 ponds. One pond has goldfish and a Mermaid fountain. Sit and relax and enjoy the birds, views of Downtown and listen to the splash of the water taking your stress far, far away. The sunsets are wonderful as the sun disappears behind Lookout Mountain. It is convenient to the downtown area and all the hospitals. There is a FULLY FENCED IN back yard for your dogs. I am not able to offer military discounts. 2 miles to the Chattanooga Choo Choo. I own most of the neighborhood and still working on it. One lot at a time. It is in transition, but we all know each other. The city of Chattanooga is experiencing rapid redevelopment, economic growth, and what some call "gentrification". This means that if you stay in the city, you are likely to be on a street with a wide variety of properties, ranging from very good condition, to fair, to vacant. In addition, there is great racial, cultural, and economic diversity with city residents. I live across the street and love it here, but it may not be for everyone. I want all guests to consider this prior to booking, so no unfavorable review result.
Please do not ask for a late check out. I respect that my cleaners have lives other than just cleaning my rentals. Feel free to stay another day. Thank you!

Absolutely wonderful plqce ro stay! With the fully fenced in backyard, it was pet friendly. Tammy is a great host and provides almost everything to need to cook and have a relaxing time. Very clean and plenty of towels and throw blankets provided. Location is great - very easy to get downtown and around to all the sites. Property is exactly as shown in the Vrbo photos.

What a lovely house. Well decorated, well stocked!The porch was lovely. Although the sound of the highway was more apparent outside, you could never hear it inside.We would suggest sharper chef knives, and a check on the fridge. It was making some interesting sounds. But overall a great stay.

Great Family Stay

This is one of the best properties we have stayed. The location was very close to the interstate, and an easy drive to all of the attractions. My kids loved all of the toys. The owners really thought of everything, and it was very clean.

Excellent stay!

We decided to visit a new place for Thanksgiving this year and are so glad we stumbled across Ms. Tammy’s home. The house was exceptionally clean, and just like the pictures. The fenced in back yard was an amazing perk for our Cocker Spaniel. We will definitely be returning.

We have stayed in many VRBO type rentals in the past 23 years (since we started traveling with our dogs) and we have never stayed in a property this clean and well-stocked. There were ample towels for everyone, basic kitchen supplies and so much more! The rental was furnished perfectly and the mattress in the master suite was extremely comfortable (our daughter and son-in-law said their mattress was great too). The area is convenient to everything and Tammy is a delightful host. We can’t wait to return when it’s cool and enjoy the porches and the yard. (The outside temp on this trip made it hard to do much outside.) Thanks Tammy!!

Love it!!

The home was clean and spacious enough for our girls trip, four adults. The sticky notes were the best home touch. All of us were very impressed with the hosue, owner and loved our getaway. We all plan to plan our stays with Tammy in the future.

Perfect Getaway for Family

The property was extremely clean and well-decorated. My 4 year old loved the toys and the play place across the street. The location was great and allowed us to get out of the touristy downtown area. We loved this property!

Memories Made

Our weekend stay at Ms. Tammy's Makin' Memories property fit the bill for what we needed. We were able to have dinner with family, visit, and relax without having to leave the house. The property is a stone's throw from area attractions, which made it quick and easy to get downtown. The beds were super comfortable!

Tammy and the house are wonderful. Tammy came over to welcome us and spent a lot of time with the kids. House has a Great layout for the family. Loved all the kids toys and games to play during the rain. Will stay here again on future trips.

Hiking trip

Loved our stay

Our family loved our stay at this cute home! So convenient to all the family activities we did around Lookout Mountain and Downtown. My kids all want to come back for another stay to do more around Chattanooga. We would definitely stay here again. Tammy was a great host and was gracious to allow us to move our rental date when my whole family was sick during our original stay date. I give the whole stay an A+! Hope to go back sometime soon!

Super comfortable home . Would absolutely stay again . Very close to downtown and the home had so many extra unexpected comforts like abundance of towels , kitchen products , bath products etc . It was fantastic . Super super clean ! Loved that we could bring our fur baby .

Great place!

We just loved this sweet little house. It was in a really convenient location, was superbly stocked, and had a lovely little backyard oasis. The fenced yard was great for our dog too. We have stayed at a number of rentals over the years and this was actually one of the best. Don’t hesitate to book this little gem. 😊

Loved the house... so pretty and nicely furnished, also very comfy and had everything we needed. Our pups loved the big back yard! Good location, not far from all the Chattanooga attractions. Would definitely stay here again! Communication with Tammy was excellent. Thanks for such a pleasant stay!

This property was lovely! Cozy cottage feel with comfortable furniture in the living room. Beds were comfortable, kitchen was well supplied. The owner was quick to reply when an issue happened. We especially loved the porch in back! Would definitely go back here to stay!!!

Chattanooga Getaway

The property is conveniently located in a quiet neighborhood with close proximity to major roads for easy travel to the surrounding areas. The property was very cozy and had everything you could need for a short vacation in Chattanooga. Highly recommend this house and I would stay here again if I travel to Chattanooga in the future. Additionally, the pricing was very affordable.
