It’s a hidden gem. Very close to Ruby Falls, at the foot of the Lookout Mountain, with amazing view of the river. All rooms with great views. The swimming pool and the two Jacuzzi are perfect for relaxation. There’s a big receptionist hall with comfortable sofas to rest, a balcony with tables and chairs for coffee/breakfast with views and a big patio with comfortable chairs to enjoy the view. Breakfast is also served with eggs, sausages, waffle, toast, bread, cereal and Greek yogurt as well as juice and coffee. No physical check in but the staff are helpful communicating clearly beforehand. Just do remember to upload ID to check in online. There are complimentary water in the fridge in the room which is very much needed after a whole day’s tourist trip. As an Expedia Gold Member, I received a complimentary wine prepared well with two glasses in the room, a nice treat in the trip! Would definitely go back in the future for a short getaway! Highly recommended!

The balcony was full of bugs. The front door wouldn’t open so we had to get assistance upon arrival. There was a large open gap under the front door allowing for bugs to enter the room. The brush was all over grown in the back so not much of a view anymore. There were some sort of small flies coming out of the drains in the bathroom. Would not recommend

What an amazing experience. The view of the river and the city is spectacular! Our room was comfy, clean and they even had a bottle of wine waiting! The staff here was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious. We didn’t try the hot tub since we went in July. We wish we could have stayed longer!

We are only sorry we could not stay longer than one night as we were going hone on the last leg of an extended road trip. The room was spotless and cozy and it was very nice to unwind on the porch with the mountain view, after a full day of driving. With a whirlwind short stay, we arrived late and left early and therefore missed meeting any of the staff, but we appreciate how easy they made it for us to check in and check out. We hope to come back again to more fully enjoy the property.

Overall the Riverview Inn was nice. It’s a rustic no frills place. The room was comfortable, and we were in room 2. The view was so wonderful from the private balcony. We would probably stay there again. The only things that weren’t great were the shower water pressure and no place to set toiletries in the bathroom. There were also a lot of fruit flies in the bathroom.
