We really enjoyed our family time this weekend. It was a quick trip but we absolutely loved the house! We will definitely return for more visits in the near future.
This was a nice, relaxing place to stay close enough to town to not be a long drive, but away from the hustle and bustle. Everything we needed was provided. Our younger kids enjoyed the toys and games. Communication with the host was good. Definitely recommend it for families. We had a good weekend!
Great little place for our family (2 teens, 2 young adults, 2 parents) to stay while we visited Chattanooga. Loved that it was away from the business of the city, but an easy drive to Chattanooga (about 20 mins). Had everything we needed and we enjoyed the 2 dogs that came to visit us on the porch while we ate dinner.
Our host was very responsive and when our trip was delayed due to Hurricane Helene, our host was understanding and let us shorten our stay, which was very kind. Great space for a family with infants, with toys, cribs, and space aplenty. We had a great time staying here. Thank you for such comfortable stay!
House was clean and in a quiet area with great playground for young kids. It worked out beautifully for our time in the area! We would select this property again!
Great trip to see just some of the sights in the Chattanooga area. We saw Rock City, the aquarium and the zoo during our stay. It was a nice touch to have a fire at night and the s’mores left out by our host.
We were very pleased when we opened the door. We could not have asked for anything better. The house was stocked with everything we needed and more. Linens and pillows are as good a 5 star hotel and the house was super clean. We stayed 4 nights and had a great time!
Great family spot. The large yard and play area is great for younger kids to burn off energy while the adults relax around the fire pit or on the deck. The kitchen easily seats a family of six. Two living areas means the kids can watch TV while the adults enjoy conversation or just a quiet moment. Only drawback is the shower in the master bath is very small.
The house was absolutely delightful. Very clean. Lots of kind details like throw blankets. The host even left a little welcome basket with s'mores things, which was incredibly thoughtful. The house has everything we needed. Plenty of pillow options and all the kitchen needs. Conveniently located. Would absolutely stay here again.
We have stayed in seceral Vrbo homes and this has been my favorite. We absolutely loved staying here. It was perfect for our family. Home is clean and decorated for the fall season. Loved having some games. Uno was a life saver during the band competition breaks. We are looking to return for spring break, since we were here for band competition and didnt get to enjoy the city much. Sharon is fast to respond and nice to work with. We can't wait to come back!
Property was clean and quiet. I thought we would have friends with us do we rented this 3 bedroom. They did not come. However great 3 bedroom 2 bath property. If you have kids there is a playhouse and toys outside.very dpacious inside. Host had great communication.
It was so quiet and peaceful here. We had a large yard for the boys to play in and there are many beautiful hiking trails nearby. The house was spotless; I couldn’t find a speck of dust anywhere. We were provided with dish soap and laundry detergent, which was helpful since we had arrived by airplane. The linens are luxuriously soft. There were Christmas decorations up also, which added a nice festive touch to our cozy cottage. The hostess is truly gracious and responsive. This was our first time in Signal Mountain, but it felt like home. We will certainly recommend this place others if they come this way.
Sharon is great! The home is cozy, clean and beautifully decorated. It was a little farther out than I realized but the house was perfect for my husband and myself along with our daughter, son-in-law and grandson (20 months old). It gave us a place where we felt comfortable with him down walking around. We would not have had this kind of peace of mind in a hotel with him. Thank you for the personal touches and a much needed get-away. Our grandson loved the aquarium and the zoo!
We enjoyed a lovely long weekend at The Kitty George House. It was all that we hoped for and more. The home was well kept and very comfortable. It had a cozy den and nice living room. The beds were very inviting and comfortable. The kitchen has a good layout with a deck adjoining. A convenient laundry room as well. The outdoor space was wonderful with seating and a play yard area for kids of many ages including toddler. We even got a visit from a very friendly neighborhood dog who brought his own ball for playtime fun. We would definitely visit again! Bring groceries and plan to arrive before dark, we did and were glad. It's worth the curvy drive! We found it in good proximity to all that we wanted to do in Chattanooga. It's a great retreat! Sharon is a marvelous Host! Thanks for everything, Sharon.
Family and I decided to do a house rental instead of a hotel for the first time ever. We could not have been more impressed. Very quick communication at all times, very clean and maintained house and property. Great selection of houseware. We really felt like we were home( deer in front yard and in a semi secluded area and everything). The girls absolutely loved the kids charades game. The money we saved by being able to cook our own meals cut hour vacation expense in half. Again, thank you for the awesome experience, and we will look forward to booking with you on our next mountain trip.
We enjoyed our stay so much! The house was super clean and well stocked. Sharon thought of literally everything we could need. There were toys for the kids to play with, and they really enjoyed the play set and big yard. I am pretty terrified of driving on mountain roads but the road to the house wasn’t bad at all. It only took us 20-25 minutes to get to each attraction we went to in Chattanooga. The only tiny downside I can think of is that the shower in the master bath was very small. But this didn’t bother us, and we actually loved the house and had plenty of room for 8 people.
Quaint little home on the mountain provided a quiet and peaceful weekend for me and my 2 children. My youngest enjoyed the playgroud and my older child enjoyed the outdoors on the back porch. Home is comfortable and Sharon left a sweet note and some snacks on the table to welcome us! She was very communicative and understanding when our departure plans were unexpectedly delayed due to weather. Check-in was a breeze- clear instructions and effortless.
*just a little observation: the primary bathroom shower may be a little tight if you're on the taller side ;).
Overall- would certainly stay here again especially if most of your adventures are on the trails or in Chatt!
We had the most amazing time in Chattanooga. And the stay was just the icing on the cake. We had everything, literally everything, we needed to make our stay easy. We saved so much money not having to eat out, go to the park, Laundromat, and so much more this place had to offer. The neighborhood is quant and we were visited by a different sweet dog every day. My toddler enjoyed the play area and drawing with chalk under carport. The neighbor was very sweet and told about things to do within walking distance. The host provided snacks and it was such a a great touch. They are a has so much to offer and so much we will need to come back and do. We can't wait to stay again. ❤️
The location was very nice a beautiful piece of property. The house needed a deep cleaning. When we opened the blinds in the master bedroom the dust was very thick. All the fans were caked with dust. There was a mildew smell through out the house. We ended up bringing the mildew smell home with us. It was on all our clothing and bags. We didn’t contact the owner because we didn’t feel it could be cleaned in a short period of time.
