"Good location close to cafes, bars and restaurants and on the walking tour from the Tourist Office website. Because of the busy road outside, keeping windows open on a very hot night wasn't possible. All the staff were very friendly, helpful and attentive. Bring your own bathroom liquids as only a small bar of soap and average shower gel were offered."

"Breakfast exceptional. Staff so helpful. Very easy to take our dog and rooms perfect for our children as adjoining. Fun swing for our boys in the lovely gardens. Rooms very modern, well appointed, well designed and clean."

"Excellent Hotel, with very friendly and helpful staff. The hotel itself has a quirky layout , as it’s in a very large old mansion house, all of which adds to its charm! The hotel is well kept and is a very clean , well run and well maintained and is within easy walking distance of the town centre and the river. (5-10 mins) . There are a lot of bars and restaurants with variable opening times! There’s parking available in front of the hotel, which is private and convenient. There’s also an excellent restaurant. The room we had was excellent. The bed was very comfortable and the room size was very good, we were also fortunate enough to have a small terrace outside of our balcony doors. The shower was big and the amenities were great. There’s also a fridge in the room as well as tea and coffee making facilities. The breakfast offered was relatively limited but was fresh and tasty. We would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again."

"We had room on the top floor everything it was fine,comfy bed and nice shower We had a drink and a meal in the restaurant only 3 choices but again very nice and well presented The hotel had a large coach party in and the 3 staff done very well to keep everyone happy and fed Basic hotel but good value and great staff"
