"It is a budget hotel, so don't expect much. It is convenient to the train station. The entry and lounge are very nice. The exterior looks inviting. The rooms are very small with tiny bathroom, but clean. The beds were not very comfortable. The walls were thin, the shower very tiny and slippery. The staff was very gracious and helpful."

"Having requested a superior room with a good view, we were bowled over by the incredible views over the pool golf course and miles of countryside from the full length full height opening picture window all along one side of the room. The room itself had all the usual amenities inc kettle,safe,wi fi etc plus a full size fridge, microwave, robes and slippers. Pool area very well kept with heated pool and comfortable loungers. "The hotel is very tired in need of some renovation particularly on the outside which is very shabby and does not create a good first impression. "The couple who run the hotel were very pleasant and tried to be helpful but a great shame we couldn't access the internet anywhere in the hotel, or indeed in a brasserie on the town square. Room was an odd shape and rather cramped. Bathroom needed some refurbishment. Quiet and okay for an overnight stop. Avoid the restaurant which was very reasonable but produced 2 meals which had dried out meat and inedible mushy vegetables."

"The staff are welcoming and attentive, I attempted to speak French and when in difficulty found English understood by several staff members. The food & drink quality cannot be faulted, the room and communal areas very clean, WiFi works well :)) On the downside, the bath has a tap with shower attachment but no shower curtain, water inevitably splashes into the bathroom and makes the floor slippy. There was a problem with the bill, additional alcoholic drinks we had not consumed, check your bill...

"We really did love this hotel. It had a lot of character and history. The staff were so friendly and kind. The A/C was very nice and really needed since it was a 103 degrees. It was great for one night. The restaurant downstairs is excellent and highly recommend. They provide ear plugs and it is much needed. Not sure what party was going on in the hotel but very difficult to sleep through. We stayed on a Saturday so that might be why. It went on all night. The breakfast was delicious and so worth it. "
