"I’ve stayed at Hotel Margaux previously so let me be clear that I think this was just one bad experience. It is normally fabulous…..and I stay in Epernay a lot for business. This review is more to feedback to the property as I don’t think they truly heard me this morning. I checked in yesterday. Easy check in and as pleasant as normal. The parking option for €15 is very reasonable and I’d recommend using it. The reception area is lovely - modern, bright, clean, classy. I went to my room and that’s when things went a bit South. It was cold in Epernay yesterday and on arrival back to the hotel I was feeling frozen. The heating/air con in the room was switched to cool and I couldn’t change it to heat. I went for a shower (which is great at the Margaux btw) and having heated up I put on the robe that is provided and despite the room being cold it wasn’t too bad. When heading out for the evening I spoke to reception who informed me that heating/air con for each room is controlled by reception. Wait what? I asked them to turn the heating on as the room was freezing and was told that the “summer setting” was air con and the heating couldn’t be turned on. Again, wait what? They did agree to turn the air con off. Got back from dinner and the room was still very cold. The little sleep I managed to get (comfy bed!) was when wearing shorts, a hoody, the robe and under the covers. Still cold! Sort this out Hotel Margaux! I will be back, but you’re on notice! Brekkie is great btw 😉"

"The staff was wonderful and kind, the hotel is clean and quiet, BUT THEY ARE USING THE HOTEL TO HOME HOMELESS RUFFIANS... Not very pleasant to have to go through them smoking and drinking in the front door of the property. It's a pity to see the poor staff dealing with this situation..."

"Big parking. At first glance the check-in may look a bit complicated because there’s no reception there with a human being. Check-in process is fully automated and easy to understand. Location is good too. 15 minutes walk from Avenue de Champagne. We liked the hotel."

"The hotel was so peaceful and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful. We had one meal at the hotel which was delicious. Our room was clean and the views were unmatched! "

"Une très grande maison avec de nombreux WC et salles de bains très appréciable!!! Il est l'annonce " chien accepté" mais en aucun cas qu'il faut réglé 20 en plus de la location !! en aucun cas cette maison est " accessible aux personnes handicapées ", comme annoncé , il y a plusieurs petits escaliers pour accéder à la terrasse ainsi que pour accéder à la seule chambre en R de C , et aucune salle de bain ou WC ne correspond à ce critère, cette chambre se situe dans la 2ème partie de la maison que l'on rejoint en ressortant de la maison principale avec encore de petits escaliers !.Je ne suis pas certaine qu'une personne en fauteuil puisse y circuler !!!Quelques rafraichissement seraient à prévoir : rideaux déchirés ( chambre 2ème maison) et beaucoup de vaisselles certes mais beaucoup étaient ébréchées.toutefois nous avons vraiment appréciés la qualité et la quantité du linge de toilette ainsi que les lits fait et de belles qualités également."
