"It was affordable and perfect location. However we were on the top floor so there was 84 stairs to get to our room. The room was small which we expected but there wasnt even room on either side of the bed to get in or out. We had to crawl to the end of the bed to access it. Very very very tiny. We did however see bigger rooms on our way out when the maid was cleaning. We would stay again for location but this was a very basic accommodation. Do not go with high expectations. "So - when we arrived, the manager Nicolas was amazing. We were early, no problem… he gave us a newly refurbished room which whilst small was excellent. We asked about going into Bordeaux and he spend time talking us through how best to do it, where to go etc. he couldn’t do enough for us and all with a smile. Breakfast was fabulous… we would highly recommend this hotel as a great place to stay - just off the otorway but quiet! "

"Stunning property.
A little warning to travellers: there is Nothing to do there and no where to eat nearby except for Caudalie, which was booked out every night and day. So unless you are happy to travel every night around 30 minutes, prepare yourself for dining on sandwiches.

"We used this hotel to break a long journey twice. Could be cheaper for what you get. My son was bitten by bed bugs on the first stay. Had to prove on both stays that we had paid with bank statements and receipts as they tried to make us pay again. Paid for 5 breakfasts but we were only allowed to get 2 and refused to pay again for 3 more. Restricted 2 of my kids to one slice of bread each for breakfast! Aircon not working. Not obvious from the Expedia website that bathroom was not in the room. Not a problem but Expedia should make this more obvious and that you need your own towels. "
"I have been less then a night there, to arrive it was fine, the security was nice and explained how to do the check in, always doing his patrol around, so I felt safe with family. The bedroom was well cleaned , however the sink and bath plumbing was blocked , the dirty water wasn't going away, there was mold in the bathroom grout. I should not be there again unfortunately. Bed sheets , floor and litttle table was perfectly cleaned."
