Situated in Charlottesville's historic downtown and completely renovated in 2021, this 2nd floor 1 BR walk-up apartment represents what locals love: history and the Downtown Mall. Located on the corner of 1st and Main with views of the Downtown Mall, this lovely one bedroom encompasses the heart of Charlottesville and is at the center of great cuisine, art, theatre, live music, and incredible spectating.

With its original heart pine floors, this apartment boast quality and craftsmanship with features like granite counters, 6 ft tall windows overlooking the Mall, 9 ft ceilings, and modern design furnishings.

The location can't be beat in the middle of the downtown action!  We like to note to future guests that this is a popular area (especially on the weekends) and the noise level on the Downtown Mall may be higher particularly on Friday and Saturday evenings. There is an event venue below the apartment that may have considerable activity into the late evening (12:00am).

Overall, the place was beautiful and very clean. The location and view was great! We only had a few issues: the communication with the property manager was a little confusing with the directions on where to park and when I asked I was told to refer to the email, also we didn’t know there was a wine experience included, and the fireplace didn’t work.

Great location and apartment

This apartment is lovely. Fantastic location with great space and amenities. Once we parked, we never used the car again for the entire weekend: shops, restaurants, and activities all in one place.

Amazing apartment

Highly recommend this beautiful apartment, right in the heart of the historic downtown pedestrian mall. Very clean and comfortable apartment with literally everything you need, right in the center of things. We thoroughly enjoyed our week here!

Weekend Getaway

Great location. The apartment was right above downtown mall close to restaurants and bars. We spent the weekend at wineries and it was great to come back and eat dinner walking distance. The place is noisy at night due to location and the people outside walking through the downtown mall but we didn’t mind since we had sound machines to block out the noise. Overall, great place to stay!

Great Stay in Charlottesville

This property was perfect for a girls weekend! Check in was fairly easy and the Stay concierge was responsive when we had questions leading up to our weekend! You can’t beat the location, overlooking the Downtown Mall and walkable areas of Charlottesville. The only small inconvenience is that you are only given one complimentary parking space. Additional cars are advised to park in a deck multiple blocks away for a fee. Otherwise, we had a perfect stay and would absolutely rent this apartment again!

Clean, well-appointed, and classy apartment with central location. Perfect for those wanting to be at the heart of Charlottesville. Note that this also means you’re at the mercy of the noise of the crowds, especially on the weekends. Luckily we sleep with earplugs. Also, the area, like many cities, struggles with its homeless problems. We never felt unsafe, but it can be a little startling for those unaccustomed to this reality. Also, our arrival instructions included two different codes for the front door; one at the beginning of the email and another at the end of the email. After several unsuccessful attempts (using the code at the end of the email) we called the manager. She quickly pointed out the code at the beginning of the email and we made it in. The welcome on the TV screen also listed the incorrect code. Overall, it was a lively stay in a beautiful apartment. Would definitely book again!

Week-long stay

We stayed for a week at the VRBO. The property was as described - right on the outdoor mall so wonderful for walking to restaurants, etc. It can be a bit noisy especially on the weekends but with windows closed we had no trouble. The kitchen had the standard plates/glassware etc. but was pretty limited on cookware, tools - had to buy a can opener. Was very nice to have access to the Common House, a short walk from the unit for remote working. We would definitely stay again.

Comfortable Condo in the heart of Charlottesville

Located on the Downtown Mall, we parked the car upon arrival and didn’t need it again until departure. Lots of restaurants, entertainment venues and shops are easily within walking distance. The Mall itself is a pleasant diversion. The condo is comfortable, spacious and nicely decorated. Nighttime noise can be loud but I partially attribute that to our stay being a Friday and Saturday night in warm weather. If you have one, a white noise generator might be a good thing to bring along for the trip. This condo will definitely be a top consideration for any future trips to Charlottesville!

Great location, just a few things…

We arrived at our VRBO which was located in a fantastic area, and the location was walkable to most events. However, upon arrival the kitchen had not been cleaned the stovetop was dirty and there was dried egg yolk on the kitchen table. Very dusty. Our son ended up leaving to get a hotel room because the sleeper sofa did not have bedding available. Our daughter slept on the couch without pulling it out. We reached out and the maintenance manager had linens delivered the next day. Very quick in response. Again, great location. We were disappointed that we were not set up for our stay.

Weekend Getaway

We enjoyed a quick 2 night getaway after dropping our daughter off for soccer camp at UVA. The location of this property made it very easy to walk to a variety of places and enjoy all that Charlottesville has to offer. We would definitely stay there again.
