This gorgeous property is located on a peninsula of 16 homes on a quiet section of beautiful Lake Murray, has large windows to view the lake, and offers swimming in the lake or pool at the main house, as well as kayaking, canoeing, paddle boarding, hiking, shuffleboard, horseshoes, basketball, pickleball, picnic area with swings, wood burning fire pit on a sandy beach, gas fire pit in lounge area on rear deck, as well as rocking chairs by the pool to view gorgeous sunsets in the evening!

There's also great striper bass fishing on Lake Murray with a fish cleaning station available for your use! In addition there's two boat ramps on the premises to launch your own boat and a dock to moor at! The property offers shared watercraft as well, including 2 Pedal Kayaks, 3 Regular Kayaks, a Canoe, 2 Paddle Boards, Floats, 4 seat paddle boat, and 15' bouncer on the lake when available during the summer season.

The sidewalks around the property are nice to stroll on with awesome views of the lake, fountains, and a pond. Walks in the evening are especially nice when the stars are shining brightly.

The Sunset Green Room sleeps 2, has it's own full bath, and is perfect for a romantic get away! It includes a queen bed, 2 nightstands and lamps, dresser, side table with Keurig Coffee Machine, desk with great views of the lake through the bay windows, love seat and foot stool, TV, mini fridge, and a separate exterior entrance from rear porch. Toilet paper, soap, shampoo, conditioner, and hair dryer are provided. This is our middle sized guest room. It does not have kitchen or laundry facilities, but there are many restaurant options nearby, as well as a propane grill to use on the back deck.

AMAZING!!

Everything was amazing! The hosts Dennis and Debra are very hospitable. The property was beautiful and well kept with so many things to do. It was everything we needed and more! I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a place to relax but with things to do to keep you and the kids busy. We will definitely be back!!

Amazing lakeside retreat

By pure luck I found this stunning retreat on Lake Murray. The hosts, Dennis and Debra Roberson, have built the most beautiful property and accommodations that only can be compared with an all inclusive resort. The hosts are genuine and attentive to any possible request

Wonderful!

You cannot find a finer place to stay! We were so pleased we extended our stay another day. Debra and Dennis are gracious hosts who welcome you to enjoy all the amenities of their property. The pool, dock, picnic area, watercraft and beautifully landscaped grounds on the lakefront make for a relaxed stay. We stayed in the green room which is beautifully decorated and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. We are already making plans to return.

In a word it was FABULOUS!

Hosts Debra and Dennis are genuinely kind and gracious hosts. They couldn’t have been any nicer. The site is so much better than the description and pictures. Rooms are well appointed and comfortable and have a beautiful lake view. Each room has a Keurig coffee maker with assorted pods, a basket of snacks and a refrig stocked with coffee creamer and water. On site are many toys and games - paddle boat, pedal kayaks, stand up paddle boards giant floats and a water trampoline. There is a beach area with fire pit. Plus there is a pool and hot tub, ping pong, horseshoes, shuffleboard and more! Debra and Dennis took us for a boat ride in their luxurious pontoon boat to tour the lake. We usually like to stay at differnt places but we will definitely return to the Sunset Island Trail!

Beautiful property and Excellent Hosts!

Debra and Dennis were wonderful hosts! We visited our daughter at USC for parents weekend, so we were unable to spend much time at the property, but it is gorgeous. When we arrived, Debra and Dennis met us at the driveway and showed us where to park and all around the property. They are such a nice couple and so accommodating. The loaned us a few serving tray items, a sweater and a light weight jacket for our gameday tailgate. We rented the green room and it was spacious and comfortable for my husband and I. We did enjoy setting outside for a few minutes and looking at the lake. Such a peaceful and quiet neighborhood and the property has everything you need. Thank you Debra and Dennis for such a wonderful stay and welcoming my daughter to come visit us on Sunday. It was truly a pleasure to meet you. We will be back!

A Blessed and Unforgettable Stay on Lake Murray – Hospitality at Its Finest

Our stay at Debra and Dennis’ beautiful home on Lake Murray was nothing short of incredible! From the moment we arrived, we were met with warmth and hospitality that made us feel right at home. Debra and Dennis were so polite, accommodating, and truly went above and beyond to ensure our visit was peaceful and fun. Their home is a reflection of their kind and generous spirits, creating an environment where we could relax and enjoy the beauty of the lake. What made our stay even more extraordinary was being reminded of one of my favorite scriptures, Proverbs 3:5 – ‘Trust in the Lord with all thine heart.’ It felt like God was blessing us through this wonderful experience, and it was clear that Debra and Dennis are blessed as well, as they continue to bless others with their hospitality. My husband had the best time fishing right from the dock, catching four catfish and even sharing the joy by giving two away. This trip was truly a gift, filled with moments of peace, joy, and God’s grace. We are so grateful to Debra and Dennis for sharing their little slice of heaven with us. We will cherish the memories tweaks!

The Worst Guests - Best Place

We stayed for 2 nights first week in June. Debra (host) has thought of everything. It is a gorgeous area on Lake Murray, big too. Lots of room to play & tour. Toys organized & out to play with. Canoe, kayaks, paddle boat, & stand up paddle boards. It’s awesome. The rooms are all good looking and loaded w/ features. Bed was soft & comfy. Snacks, water, etc. It is so worth coming here ❤️👍

Wonderful weekend getaway

This stay is nothing short of spectacular! We had a weekend away and it was the best weekend! We tried to cram all the amenities available to us in those short 3 days! So much to do! The Green room we stayed in was perfect! Room was Very clean, spacious and beautifully decorated. They had snacks/ drinks available to us in the room for our enjoyment. The property is amazing. Very well kept, manicured landscaped. So many things to look at as we walked the property from yard art to water features! The amenities for us to use were plentiful! We loved the trampoline in the water! We enjoyed taking out the peddle kayaks, 4 seat paddle boat, stand up paddle boards! Also had canoes, kids kayaks. Pool was sparkling clean! We used the gas fire pit to relax in the evening! They had ping pong, shuffle board and other games to use as well! We can’t wait to go back!! We’re looking into having our family/grands visit for a little getaway! Dennis and Debra have a lovely home and we’re very thankful they share a portion of it with others to enjoy! Paradise!

This place is nothing less than a five-star resort! Debra and Dennis have thought of every little thing a person could possibly need or want. What a wonderful place to enjoy nature's beauty and relax. If we hadn't been visiting family in the area, we would have just stayed put and enjoyed all of the amenities. Needed rest before relocating

This is our second visit and we’ll be back again. The hosts, Debra and Dennis, are amazing people, now friends, who have created the perfect lakefront retreat. The best stay we've had....

The property is amazing!! It is definitely a place that the pictures do not do any justice for. Our check-in was super easy,we arrived later than we anticipated and Ms Debra check on us to make sure we were okay! She and Mr Dennis were waiting on us in the driveway when we arrived. For me personally...it was a sweet touch that made it seem like we were being welcomed into the home by family. The communication for our time there was so perfect! Ms Debra went over and beyond for us in every way possible...she even made us homemade chocolate chip cookies while we were there. We definitely will be returning with our family for many trips in the future!
