"We really enjoyed our stay at the Tarna. Decent breakfast spread without being overly fancy. The free shuttle to and from town (and to and from the ferry) was greatly appreciated. The onsite dive school was excellent and we had great dives with them. The fact that their equipment is in great condition and they have their own traning pool at the hotel were big pluses. We had a room with its own pool, which we really enjoyed - But be aware that these rooms are all facing onto the construction site next door. I estimate that it will be ongoing for at least another year (we stayed in April 2025). To be fair it wasn't that intrusive, but I think potential guests should know about it."
"The staff were very friendly and helpful, however we were quite disappointed that our room was infested with ants. They were all over the bed when we checked in and there were quite a few of them in the bathroom. There were also several holes in the walls that were filled with toilet paper. Other than that, we appreciated how accommodating the staff were."

Access to Taatoh private beach and Freedom Beach (50 baht to visit if not staying at the resort). Staff was friendly. Stayed here 9 nights and would return. Scooter rental available onsite - likely to get charged for minor scrapes and dings upon return. The cash deposit (chose this instead of leaving passport with them) was 7000 baht and got maybe 1000 baht back. "
