"The place is wonderful. What I did not like much is that some of the facilities were not available (hidro massage, gas bbq). The road to get there is also narrow and full of curves, but totally worth it. The family do not speak much in English, but we always could mostly understand each other. "Schöne Lage im alten Ortskern. Das Zimmer ist groß, sauber und recht schön. Alles in Ordnung somit. Wenn man am Wochenende übernachtet, sollte man sich darauf einstellen, dass es auf der Piazza unterhalb des Zimmers sehr laut werden kann und das bis weit in die Nacht. Deswegen auch nur 4 Sterne. Wir hatten an einem Sonntag eine Band die bis 23:45h gespielt hat und anschließend waren noch Gäste und Einwohner da die bis mindestens 01:00h sehr laut waren. "We had a small wedding here in the first week of October, and everything about this villa exceeded our expectations! To start, the property and surrounding area is unbelievably beautiful. Barga and Castelnuovo are hidden gems that had great restaurants and sights to visit. The property itself is nestled on the side of the mountain, and has stunning views of the valley. Our favorite was the morning fog that rolls in! The villa itself was perfectly updated, while retaining its Tuscan charm. We were able to comfortably fit family and friends in the individual apartments that allowed for hanging out but privacy also. However the best part of our stay at the villa was interacting with the owner, our wedding coordinator Marie (through Tuscan retreats), and the staff. They immediately treated us like family and were extremely generous! They cooked our wedding reception dinner as well as the pizza night. The food was up there with some of the best meals we’ve ever had, and the service felt like fine dining! They were so understanding and gracious with all of the chaos that comes with a wedding, and for that we’ll be forever grateful.We highly recommend this property to anyone thinking about getting off the beaten path in Tuscany, we certainly can’t wait for our next visit!"

"When I dreamt of visiting Tuscany, Villa Olivi was what I dreamt of. It was perfect for our friends and us. The views are incredible, and the house was very comfortable and accommodating. As withers have expressed, there is one tight squeeze going up the hill in a car, but otherwise the whole experience was magical."

"We were awe stricken upon arrival. This home was even better in person. There was one morning when there were low clouds in the valley and we ate on the patio seemingly above the clouds. The views were spectacular. The drive to the home is typical, switchbacks, tight curves and elevation gain. The nights at the main house were cool and comfortable. The pool was always refreshing after our daily adventures. There is a bathroom by the pool for convenience too. The kids enjoyed the ping pong table too! Just a great stay, everything we hoped for. "
