"The property itself was extremely well maintained and very clean and quiet. The rooms were also surprisingly spacious and well-kept. The piece that the couple we were traveling with as well as ourselves found off-putting were the people working the front desk. People skills were lacking with respect to simply making eye contact, smiling, etc. Upon checking out, the desk was not staffed with a sign up that said they'd be back shortly. we waited close over 10 minutes, and when the staff member did arrive back, there was no acknowledgement of having been made to wait. On top of that, when we requested a hard copy receipt and saw the amount was different than what we paid, we were told that was shown was the transaction/cost between Expedia and Gunderson.... useless and odd at best, as it wasn't helpful to our checking the amount against our credit cards. The breakfast and person staffing it was also disappointing; many breakfast items were missing from the buffet. When asked, the staff member simply told us they'd run out - no apology nor attempt to supply an alternative. We arrived to breakfast a little more than a half-hour before breakfast closed; it was clear he was simply letting the food supply run out to spare himself the trouble of restocking. Again, the feeling we were left with was these staff members were just doing the bare minimum, and lacked basic customer skills."
