Enjoy an unobstructed view of the Gulf of Mexico from your front porch. Sit on the large, shaded porch any time of day and watch the varied and vibrant wildlife frolic- Ospreys dive-bombing for fish while eagles try to steal them! Pods of dolphins patrol the waters for mullet. The Treehouse is a spacious two-bedroom stilt home in the heart of Cedar Key, located just an hour west of Gainesville and situated in the center of Florida's Nature Coast. It offers nature lovers unique bird watching with soaring eagles, ospreys, and migrating birds galore. It's a fishing paradise for fishermen of Redfish, Trout, Drum, and much more. Enjoy Robinson Crusoe vibes and an amazing, extremely relaxing location. The large screened-in front porch, built around two oak trees. A boat dock out back on the canal allows fisherman to keep their boats in the water (tidal). Catch fish and crabs for dinner right off your own dock. When the sun is setting, step out on the covered front deck to feel the breeze and enjoy the spectacular sunset view over the beautiful Gulf. You may see a school of dolphins cavorting in the cove right in front of you or even the swirl of a drum close enough to make you want to throw a line out. Cedar Key also offers outstanding local cuisine in its many casual dining restaurants. The natural beauty of Cedar Key and its slow pace allows visitors to feel what old Florida must have been like years ago, allowing for very restful vacations. Whether you want to relax, sit and read a book, kayak, fish, or just enjoy the diverse wildlife, the Treehouse is the perfect location. Everything in this "Old Florida" style fishing and clamming village is within easy close and biking distance. From The Treehouse, the walk to town and the city's beach is a leisurely 20 minutes along picturesque streets. Or in the other direction is a 15-minute walk to the small airport beloved by daily exercise walkers and pilots alike. The City Park offers a nice beach with a pavilion, outdoor showers, and all the necessary facilities to enjoy a pleasant Gulf side afternoon. Stroll around town and watch the crabbers checking their traps, fishermen bringing in their catch, and dolphins jumping from the water. Or take one of the many excursions offered by boat Captains off Dock Street to fish or sight-see the many islands that make up the Cedar Keys.

Great place, nice house!

We truly enjoyed our time at this quiet spot. Everything was organized and clean. The owner communicated a few times to make sure things were going well and no problems. Greatly appreciated and will recommend to anyone heading to that area

Great Experience

We had a great experience staying in the tree house over Christmas break. It truly had everything we needed and wanted for a relaxing Cedar Key stay. We loved the view from the front porch and the fire pit. We also really enjoyed to screen porch. Highly recommend this property.

The Treehouse

This property is exactly as presented on VRBO. We couldn't have been more pleased with our stay. The owner's were very accommodating and easy to work with. The location is as stated and was truly amazing! We intend to return to Cedar Key and hopeful that this property will be available.

Best views in Cedar Key

We sat, literally all day, on the couch in the living room, with the front French doors open, enjoying the view of the gulf and the easy salt water breeze. An amazing house and location for a couple or a family. This was our second time staying here and this time was just mom & dad - no kids. and it was just as cozy and fun and comfortable as the first time with all the kids here. Can't recommend highly enough!

Walks, birds, quiet, comfortable "at home"

We loved everything about the tree house from bikes, kayaks, reliable wifi, ice, filtered water, the views and a nice kitchen with everything we needed. Cedar Key is a very quiet and "no hype" kind of town. And our visit couldn't have been more pleasant.

Perfect location and great property!

The Tree House is a fantastic property to rent for a nice weekend getaway, or in our case, Christmas break. The home is full of amenities including Kayaks, Bikes, golf cart rental if needed, a grill (we didn't use the grill but I'm sure it works fine like everything else did!), a firepit, dock with bar, etc. The house was well maintained and clean. The smores kits, coffee, popcorn, etc were all a very nice touch! We will be staying here again!

Another Great Stay at the Treehouse

We've been coming to The Treehouse over the years for short restfull stays in Cedar Key. The house is extremely comfortable and has 2 lovely porches so family can spread out. It's set on a quiet street with great Gulf viws and gorgeous sunsets. Cassandra has outfitted the property with lovely outdoor seating and recreational amenities. She was a great host, lots of help if you needed it. We would definitely book to say here again.

This property was simply fantastic. We left the giant double doors open all day and just soaked in the view of the Gulf of Mexico as much as we could while we were there. Immaculate condition and tons of detail and niceties were everywhere. Communication was great and everything was perfectly in order. Things could not have been better!

Amazing Stay!

This is by far the best place that we have ever stayed in Cedar Key, Fl. The house is beautiful and has a great back deck that is right on the canal. My husband caught minnows and fished right off of the dock. We rented a golf cart from one of the neighbors and had a great time exploring the area. We were close to everything but felt secluded in this great home with amazing views from every angle. We even made a fire in the fire pit and a few neighbors stopped by to enjoy with us. We are already planning our next visit!

Girls weekend of kayaking friends

The treehouse was outstanding! Cassandra, our host, was a great communicator. The house was clean, stocked, charming and a lttle away from the center of town which made it quiet but only a 15 min walk away. We are a group of mature women (60 to 70 years) on a fun girls weekend. We kayaked, biked,yakked, and even hit the local bar in costume for their Halloween party! We will be back!

We really enjoyed our stay! The home had everything we needed for a lovely getaway. We had fun by the campfire and on the two porches, indoor and out. The view on the front porch was lovely along with the privacy by the fire in the backyard. We enjoyed the games which made our stay more fun as unfortunately one of the days was rainy but the home felt cozy. Every amendity was thought of while staying here and I really appreciated the thoughtfulness of the host. We definitely want to come back and highly recommend for a small family gathering as it was perfect for us 4! Thanks so much for sharing your beautiful home!

Such a great place!

View of the Gulf. Access to the Gulf via a canal from a fantastic dock. But the dock and back yard also have a great fire pit (and wood), swings, bar, Adirondack chairs and night lighting. Excellent quality kayaks and bikes for all ages. The house is built to take advantage of outdoor living. Covered open front porch and screened side porch so it can be enjoyed, rain or shine (with a tv, and another bar). Best stocked and equipped place we ever stayed. We enjoy cooking and we did 4 out of 7 nights and wanted for nothing. Our favorite rental home, and we've rented many.

Relaxing retreat

Our stay at the Tree House was the perfect relaxing retreat. Cassandra did a good job communicating when asked questions. The house has everything you could possibly need, and more. The back yard was our favorite place to hang out. Either on the dock fishing, crabbing, or playing games, or sitting around the fire pit just hanging out enjoying the amazing weather, or waiting for our dinner to cook over the fire. The kayaks provided a different way to explore, but driving around town in the golf cart was our favorite way to travel. The tree House was exactly what we needed for our relaxing retreat. Great house-quiet location!

We enjoyed our one week stay in the Tree House, the best love rental on Cedar Key. Casandra is the hostess with the mostest and a great communicator. The house is full of anything you may need including very comfortable beds, a huge beautifully tiled shower for 2 and a well stocked kitchen.The gulf views from the front porch are amazing. We saw Roseate Spoonbills at sunset, an osprey nesting on a neighbors roof, a pod of pelicans and many other tropical birds. There was a rental golf cart under the porch which was a wonderful way to see all the nooks and crannies of this adorable historic and artsy town. To top it off the neighbors were super friendly and couldn’t say enough wonderful things about Casandra’s husband who works hard to ensure his guests are happy and satisfied.

Weekend Getaway

Perfect place to meetup with our son from FSU. Wish we had more time. The Treehouse was perfect for us. We enjoyed biking around the neighborhood and hanging out in the yard. We ended up renting a golf cart from a place in town because Bob was not very responsive. Which was same price and worked out great. The town is still recovering from the hurricane. We are from Clearwater so we can appreciate that need for tourist to spend during that time. Cute place and we will definately be back. We did not get to kayak but we will next time for sure. Thank you Peck Family for sharing your home.
