Little House, Cute, Cozy Artist Cottage

Welcome to Little House, a charming and private cottage located at 809 5th Street, just a short walk from the quaint downtown area. This cozy one bedroom cottage features all the comforts of home. It has been lovingly maintained by the owners, who are local artists. The house includes a mix of antiques and new furniture, as well as many of the owners unique pieces of art. French doors in the master bedroom lead to a deck overlooking the private, shady back yard. There's off street parking and even room for a boat trailer.
Start your day relaxing on the back deck, sipping coffee, or listing to the birds, or sit on the front porch under the canopy of the ancient oak, dripping with Spanish moss.

Clean, Quiet & Cozy

I’ve been to Cedar Key multiple times and this is my new favorite spot. Great place to relax and read and walkable to the center of town! Will be staying with Cindy again soon!

Home Away from Home

This was our second time staying at this property. We love the artistic decor, the easy access to downtown Cedar Key, and the location for fishing. A wonderful place to stay and get away!

Beautiful little house

Thank you for an amazing stay in your lovely little house. The place was immaculately clean, beautifully decorated and provided everything you could need. Location was excellent with everything being within walking distance. Would definitely recommend to anyone thinking of staying in Cedar Key.

Perfect Getaway for Two

This property was everything the VRBO pictures portrayed it to be. We loved all the art that was beautifully displayed, and the cottage itself was just adorable! We hope to return soon for a repeat visit.

Love the Little House

My wife and I spent a few wonderful days at the Little House. It has all the comforts you need and is in a great location with easy walking distance to the center of town. We love staying in Cedar Key and this will be our destination of choice.

Beautiful cottage. Mike and Cindy are the owners and live next door. Wonderful people. The location is very close to downtown and an easy walk or quick ride on your golf cart or bike. Cottage has just about everything you need or want for a relaxing chill in Cedar Key.

Very clean and inviting. Location could not have been better. Just steps to the water and dining. Everything that we needed was there (washer, dryer, hair dryer). Super cozy and fun to stay at with all the creative decorations. Decent size house and just perfect for two people. I would highly recommend it.

Location, location, location, and an amazing home too.

Cedar Key is a vacation spot we keep coming back too. The views are amazing, the locals and vacationers are always so friendly, the pace is slow here, it feels like Key West to me, but with room to breath, if that makes sense. We had an amazing stay at The Little House and it was perfect for two people, it has a big living room, a good size kitchen, the queen size bed was comfortable enough for my wife and I, the bathroom and shower might be a little small for some people, but this was 10 times better than any condo we have ever stayed in at Cedar Key. The location was probably our favorite aspect of our stay, you are roughly 100 feet from the golf, you can see it from your front door, you can smell the salty wind coming from it when you step outside, you can walk to one of the most amazing photo spots on the island in 2 minutes, less if you are younger than we are. Thanks so much to our host, we had a great stay.

The most laid-back place I have ever seen.

"The Little House". Very aptly named. Has everything you need...comfy bedroom...well appointed kitchen...dining/game area...living/seating area...and the most compact bathroom ever! And where did we spend our time? On the covered front porch...watching the world go by...listening to the birds in the beautiful live oak tree...with a glass of wine. Easy walking distance to town, restaurants (if you choose the correct time of day...or day of the week)...or walk to Dock Street where it looked as if the tourists hang out. Different vibe on that street. Perfect location. Perfect environment for relaxation. Bring a book. Curl up in the chair on the porch. See for yourself. Cindy and Mike are wonderful hosts. Been on the Island for 40 years. Looks like they made an excellent choice. Thanks so much for sharing your "piece of heaven". Sherry and Ben

We loved this little house. We were celebrating my birthday weekend, but a couple of things would have made the place earn five stars. There is no oven, which created a problem for my girl friend to bake me a birthday cake, and the shower is extremely small. In the e-mail the host mention that they do not charge a cleaning fee and I was charged in my bill 50. The house is very clean and comfortable and we did enjoy our visit.

Great Cottage

Easy walking to anywhere you’d want to go - most places downtown are 3-4 blocks (Tiki Hut us as far as we ventured and about 1 1/4 mi each way)Cottage is perfectly appointed and neat as a pin. We didn’t want for anything. Grocery market is still closed so bring food if you intend to cook. Kitchen is well equipped. We’ll be back!

Our first visit to Cedar Key and we are most impressed. This is our kind of place…laid back, quiet, friendly, lots of wildlife, good food, coastal and all within walking distance. Little House was perfect for my husband and me. We had everything we needed and more. Plenty of space, cozy atmosphere and fabulously decorated. We enjoyed ground coffee beans (provided) for fresh coffee each morning. The owners were helpful, great at communication and friendly.
