Clean, basic and convenient.
A clean and basic room, without a view. Friendly and helpful staff. Several choices for breakfast, cooked to order. Convenient location with shops, cafes etc nearby but the hotel is on a side street so it's not noisy.

I stayed at this hotel when it was new and recently opened at the end of 2009. When in Cebu since then I have never been able to return as a casual visitor as they always have been fully booked whenever I have turned up. This time I was able to book online for 8 nights and in fact was able to extend by a night. I would say that the high standards that prevailed on my first visit have been maintained since then.

the furnished bath mat was a joke!! when we put a used towel down we got reprimanded!! but they don't furnish a real bath mat. They had a fee for extra pillows. on line signup had no difference in cost between 1 or 2 guests but after I got there my Filapina girlfriend decided to stay there instead of commuting (about 1.5 hours away) they had me in a spot i could do nothing but pay an extra P9200+ for the 3 week stay when when registering there would have been no charge (I don't know what you call that except extortion in that situation).

Love Cebu R Capital hotel
Had to stay a couple days in another hotel. From now on, will always be sure to have reservations for Cebu R Capital site, as more expensive hotel had sinks that didn't drain as well as no hot water for shower.

My room on first floor behind lobby was terrible. The window didn't let in any daylight at all. Aircond very high sound. Would never accept it again.

Ok for one night.
Ok for a one night stay after a late flight. No wifi in the room only in the lobby. Staff aren't particularly helpful or friendly. Ok breakfast but lots of extras are charged when you check out so better get it elsewhere.

WiFi was awful, no matter how many times you talk to them about the issues, they politely do not do anything about them . I was there for two weeks and on the very last day they found that modem was defective and it was supposed to be replaced two days after l left! You would be pleased with saccharine smile instead all day.

The Air conditioner stopped working in my Superior room. So I transferred to another room. The only room that was available was a Suit. So they gave us a Suit for two weeks at the same rate as the superior room.

Little nice and comfortable hotel, you'll like it.
Had a wonderful time visiting Cebu and staying in this hotel, was very surprised for the good service, friendly environment, you are treated as a friend not as a guest, check in at 2 pm and if arrive early they (staff) will watch you luggage while you go out to kill time, offered a cold glass of ice tea, how nice, two computers available in the lobby if needed. I enjoyed every single minute, nice tv with more than 60 channels, very clean room, a/c not so noisy and kept room very cool, a few ants but did not bother me at all, for my next visit will definitely stay at this hotel, not expensive and very comfortable, room service, laundry available, cameras everywhere inside the hotel makes you feel safer besides the security guys, no traffic noise, got a very good deal for an extra guest for two weeks, a bargain, if looking for a good, cheap and nice hotel to stay this is the one, besides there are many good seafood restaurants, Seven Eleven and small variety stores nearby, 220-50 pesos from and to the airport, jeepneys everywhere, long rides for 20 pesos, not very comfortable but nice experience, not a very clean city but no city in the world is perfect, some poor kids asking for spare change so carry some loose change to make their day, for 60 pesos a taxi will take you to Robinson's shopping mall, Mcdonalds, KFC, pizza and souvenir shops nearby, terrible traffic at rush hours so caution when crossing the streets.

The hotels is really nice great people working there. Breakfast is good. It's nice to hang out in the lobby in the am. Cebu city however is really busy now. Major traffic problems. But If you have to go there on a budget this a great place to stay.

Hotel is on a small side street. Some taxi drivers could not locate it. Front desk girls are pleasant and polite. Hotel Wi-Fi was poor, many interruptions. AC worked well, but rooms could use an up-date. Overall the hotel was satisfactory, but basic.

We booked and had confirmation at Cebu r in Capitol but when we showed up they told us it was full and they had moved our reservation to the other hotel of the same name. On the plus side our cab driver that ripped us off also dropped us off at the wrong hotel after we gave him the address so we ended up at the one they had moved us to. We stayed at the one they had moved us to but we're disappointed because the reason we had booked the other one was to be close to everything and this one does not have a whole lot around it. If we knew we would be moved we would have booked a cheaper hotel in the first place. I would have been pretty unhappy however I got 2 nights of much needed sleep here so I felt like I was in a much better mood when I left than when I arrived.

Cebu R is a nice hotel ideally situated to most facilities. The staff of course were friendly and obliging particularly the small breakfast lady who was extremely helpful. The hotel itself probably could do with an overall update, the bathroom in my unit looked a little tired. Cebu R shares it's name with another which is located reasonably close, not all taxi drivers are familiar with both, that could be the fault of the taxi driver but some didn't know either Cebu R hotel, a calling card should be essential. An overall pleasing experience.

Great budget hotel
Welcome drink and consistent friendly, helpful and accommodating staffs all throughout our stay. Good for limited budget. Robinson Mall is not far away from the hotel. Food is great. Fast WiFi. Taxi drivers are familiar with the hotel just tell the driver Capitol site as there are two Cebu R hotel one in Mabolo. My husband and I checked in Cebu R Capitol site for a tour. Like the place as I'm fond of antiques. Would definitely book again.

Hotel is ok, clean but don't expect anything fancy, it is getting quite old now. The place is quiet, very friendly and helpful staff. Free breakfast ok but not too big. A/C could be better, good sized bathroom. Closeby to a couple of restaurants, within walking distance to 7-11. About 100-150pesos for taxi to city center attractions, 300-350 to Mactan International Airport

I stayed in Cebu R in Mabolo and thought it would be similar. It was not. This one is dated. Far from shopping. Breakfast is good (same like in Mabolo), but in this hotel they do not have a restaurant, you just eat in the lobby.
