Les gites Perard (West Gite) sleeps 4. Use of Swimming Pool & Pet friendly

Converted from an old barn, the west gite has a double room and a twin beds room. One family bathroom. Downstairs the gite is open plan with sitting, dining and kitchen areas.

The kitchen is fully equipped with electric induction cooking hob and oven, fridge and automatic washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, filter coffee and Nespresso coffee machine, toaster. A large decked patio and barbecue, and garden table and chairs in the garden that overlooks superb views.

The terraced pool (10 x 5 m) fully alarmed.

Location: The farmhouse is located in the Tarn-et-Garonne and this region offers a great diversity of landscapes (forests, meadows, farmed hillsides, deep valleys etc....) together with a great historical richness - castles of the middle ages, churches or simple stone farmhouses with their 'pigeonniers' (dove cote's) are very typical of this region. The Gorges of Aveyron and the picturesque town of St. Antonin Noble Val are only 20 minutes drive away. Don't forget to visit the Ingres museum in Montauban or the Lenoir museum in Montricoux. A little further, you will enjoy visits to Albi with its famous cathedral and Toulouse-Lautrec museum, Cordes sur Ciel, St Cirq la Poppie are very beautiful middle age villages, or the city of Toulouse, which is only 80 km away. There is a market almost everyday of the week in different villages Amenities: Caylus (6 km) has all the amenities - doctors, pharmacy, bank, newsagent (Dutch and English papers available here) bakers, butchers, greengrocers, bars and a few good restaurant. There are also some larger supermarkets in Caussade, Villefranche de Rouergue and Montauban. A wide variety of sports are available in the area. Canoeing, kayaking, biking, horse riding and hiking. There are many good restaurants where you will enjoy the pleasures of french cooking. Don't hesitate to ask for a restaurant recommendation for a nice meal.

Wonderful stay

Wonderful gite with all comfort you need and nice swimming pool. We had a drink at arrival with the owners who are very friendly. Nice place to have a peaceful holiday!

Lovely friendly hosts, amazing views , great sunsets.

Gorgeous gite and glorious rural area

We have just enjoyed a delightful weeks stay at Perard. We arrrived to a delicious pre-prepared lasagne which was perfect stress free way to feed the family after a long drive with a toddler. Thank you Fazanna! There are no roads near by and the garden outside the gite meant he could play freely as we sat on the terrace enjoying the views and the bird song. The swimming pool is gated and alarmed which was reassuring. The area around the cottage is beautiful and peaceful. Walks and bike rides can be done straight from the door. There is so much wildlife in the forrested valleys near by, as well as secluded churches and crumbling castles. The local town Caylus is very cute and near by are medieval hill towns, caves with prehistoric painting and markets with fresh farm produce. Fazanna and Jean-Claude were delightful hosts, friendly and welcoming. Their little dogs made my sons holiday.

Fabulous family friendly holiday

I would recommend this holiday accommodation to anyone, we had a fantastic holiday. We have two children aged 5 and 7 and the farmhouse was very comfortable and well equipped complete with toys, dvd's and books to keep you entertained. Stunning views of the most magnificent countryside. You really are in the middle of no where yet still a short drive away to some gorgeous little villages. Everything included for a lovely relaxed holiday, pool was well maintained albeit a touch chilly! Farzana was very welcoming, attentive and a lovely lady, we will definately be coming back!

Perfect rural gite

We spent a lovely week here in August 2013 with our 4, 3 and 1 year old girls. The gite is like a home from home - comfortable and well equipped. We loved the view from the terrace across the fields and the fact that our girls could run freely in 'our' garden, watching bees, collecting flowers. We had some lovely walks in the surrounding village and countryside, and lots of swims in the pool. There are some wonderful villages to visit (Najac, St Cirq). Swimming in the river near Cazals was a highlight. Highly recommended if you want to get away from it all in a breathtaking area of France.

A lovely, unexpected gem near Caylus, France

My family and I had were so delighted when we turned the corner to see Perard for the first time. The farm house is very pretty and in a lovely setting and we received a very warm welcome from Farzana, which made us feel at home immediately. Our Gite was simple but perfect for us and absolutely immaculate. We had ordered chicken basque in advance, it was absolutely delicious and served up in a lovely Le Creuset Pot. The pool was a good size for the number of guests and set at the front of the farm-house, very picturesque. We also loved the dogs, so cute. The evenings were relaxing, we were able to barbecue and eat outside - no need for the TV, although there was one. Our favourite trips were to St Cirque Lapopie for a delicious lunch and canoeing down the gorge from St Antonin Nobel Val. Farzana also invited us to a Paella night, which we accepted, but didn't feel any pressure to do so. Farzana and her family and friends were great - a fabulous night. We really loved our stay.

Welcoming wildflower paradise by the pool

We had a fantastic stay at Perard. The owner was totally welcoming and helpful as well as being a great cook. The gite was very comfortable and clean and set in stunning wildflower gardens with uninterrupted views of surrounding countryside. Lots to do in the surrounding area too. Definitely recommended.

Wonderfully peaceful

After a stressful year with work all of our worries melted away as soon we laid eyes on this picture perfect French farmhouse. The accommodation is clean, spacious and most importantly the only thing we could hear was the trees rustling in the wind. For the first 3 days we cooked, drank and relaxed reading books by the pool. We then decided to venture further a field to visit the local market towns and even managed a horse ride and canoe trip down the river! I would recommend this for anyone looking to totally relax in traditional France. We will certainly be returning to marvellous little utopia.

Our wonderful week at Perard, Caylus!

My young Family and I were on our first driving holiday to the Tarne-et-Garone region of France on a recommendation from a friend who had stayed at Perard a few years back. We had high expectations and we were not disappointed as we pulled in and were immediately blown away by the charm of the house and spectacular surrounding views. Farzana the warm and welcoming owner settled us in and was tremendously helpful in providing information on the region and things we could do. The property was very family friendly, spacious yet cosy. My kids loved playing in the pool and grounds not to mention our dog Bruce had a jolly old time too! It was such a peaceful and magical week to treasure that I have a sneaky suspicion we'll be back next year!

Holiday 2011

We arrived at our holiday Gite to a warm welcome by the owner, who kindly gave us a tour of our home for the next 2 weeks. We found the Gite to be spotlessly clean and tidy and to our surprise found a welcome basket of food, containing bread, fruit, wine, cheese and crisps! We never had this when we booked elsewhere the year before. Not long after we arrived we were presented with our dinner, which you are able to pre-book when you make your initial reservation, the food was absolutely delicious and much appreciated after a long drive, we opted for a 2 course meal which was a chicken dish and a dessert, we could have booked a four course meal if we had wanted to!I didn't fancy the prospect of cooking on arrival or even going out to eat, so am so pleased we pre-booked dinner on our first night. After dinner, we had a good look around our Gite which was really tastefully decorated and we took a look at the pool and garden, there were plenty of loungers and chairs around the pool and garden, the owner had even left us towels to use for the pool. I have never stayed anywhere quite as nice and never before have we had the option of dinner on our first evening in self catering accommodation! I would definitely recommend this holiday rental and we will certainly be booking up to come back in the future

Relaxing, peaceful and charming

This place is a tucked away in a rural part of France and is everything you need for a relaxing holiday. The gite was perfectly equipped and very comfortable. The views were stunning and we found it very relaxing. Our host cooked for us on one night which was truly memorable and delightful. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.
