"The hotel, restaurant and spa were lovely but everything is closed on Tuesdays (which we did not know before booking) A car is absolutely essential, and the staff were no help whatsoever in helping us accommodate not having one. The tastings for the vineyard are 8km from the site and on Tuesdays the restaurant is closed. There is also no bar or restaurant for lunch in the week. We were recommended a restaurant in he local town to walk to on Tuesday, confirmed with the hotel that it would be...

"I really love this place. Second time here, just as good as ever. The balance of old world charm with modcons is quite special. Huge old fashioned room in the ancient farm building but modern bathroom attached. The real reason for coming though is dinner - in their beautiful courtyard restaurant. Lovely hotel in a great location
"Lovely clean hotel in a great location. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. The room was very clean, and our balcony was a nice feature. The breakfast buffet was large and included some American fare. The location was very close to the Arena and a major bus stop connecting you to the main train station. "
