A brilliant location. Bus stops right in the square, you can get anywhere on the Island.
The George is a bit tired but the staff and location makes up for it.
Really enjoyed our stay
Spotless room and friendly staff. Great breakfasts (if you have the 'Full Manx' you may not need to eat again for the rest of the day!). Downstairs is a no-frills pub with good bar meals in the evening. Separate breakfast room for the mornings. I had a spacious ensuite room upstairs. Nothing special, but comfortable and worth the money that I paid. I would stay here again.
Lovely hotel central in Castletown. Facilities, room and nearby area was very nice. Splendid breakfast menu and area, charming pub that serves food, nice and helpful staff, and parking in the back. Also a short walk to the station for the steam train. Sadly the cook was ill the evening we planned to order food at the hotel, but there are great alternatives in a very close proximity. Would love to stay here again next time visiting Isle of Man.
Breakfast was excellent and evening meals were good value for money.
The staff were friendly, kind and very helpful.
The hotel's location was perfect with adjacent parking for our classic car. It was right on the market square and the bus stop with a regular bus service was just outside.
The room was good and clean. We had a small issue with a partly blocked shower drain and it was dealt with straight away.
The weather was very hot and the room was rather warm and difficult to cool.
On the final morning we had to leave early to catch a ferry and we were told that a breakfast would be prepared and left outside our room. This did not happen.
The food choice for the property is excellent
Friendly staff very welcoming
I would be delighted to stay again

Nice big room overlooking the town square and the castle with a balcony, however when I entered there were hundreds of black flies around the windows that took a lot of getting of.
Food is nice and have eaten there before on many visits to Isle of Man, but first time staying.
I was somehow expecting to guess where the breakfast was served as it wasn't pointed out that it was separate to the main bar, but once there everything was fine.
Great location, car park is quite small, but there are alternatives nearby.
I would possibly stay again as the location is so good, but it wasn't great value if I was honest as one night was over £140..
It was nice, most of the staff were great and I can't be negative in general, but just little things spoilt the experience.
Small carpark at rear but always a space. Friendly helpful staff. Good choice of food for breakfast. Good bar food menu. Great location for visiting the whole island.
Comfortable room and fabulous breakfasts, would definitely return. Serve a decent pint plus one or two restaurants nearby but our best eats were at The George

Spent a long weekend here recently. Location is ideal. Staff really lovely. Food great, and plenty of parking to the rear. We will be back later in the year.
Made to feel very welcome. The hotel was clean, comfy bed and great food.
Peaceful location with excellent public transport links to other parts of the island.
