"As many have shared, the property is a little old and dated. We visited when the hotel was just opening up for spring and not quite everything was ready to go, but that’s to be expected! The staff couldn’t be more helpful! When we shared that none of the ice machines were working (yet), we were given access to the kitchen for ice. The biggest thing I would say is that if you have any problems at all or need anything, don’t hesitate to ask! Our room was clean and we were facing the river! The location absolutely can’t be beat! I did take a look at the pool and decided it wasn’t for me. It looked a little dirty and it could very well be that it was something they were still working on as they were opening up for the season. It’s very shallow and meant for children. Breakfast was great for an included continental breakfast! We also loved the candy dishes everywhere! As soon as you step inside, you can feel the love and warmth that the owners have for this hotel. I feel like this is the kind of place that is hard to find these days and it really is special! If you are looking for a clean, friendly, quirky, and super accommodating place to stay in downtown, I definitely recommend!!!!"
