The tourist season is over, but days are still warm and the evenings quite cozy in the comfortable in this well appointed cabin. White Pine is the perfect getaway for seniors and families looking for that memorable fishing weekend before winter or just a quiet paddle on the lake to enjoy the autumn colors.

White Pine Lodge is a beautiful, completely secluded lake home located a mile up a broad, forested peninsula on about 40 acres. The house, which includes AC and central heating, is named after the old and very large white pine standing about 150 feet west of the house. White Pine Lodge, is one of the highest reviewed and rated properties in the Bemidji/ Cass Lake area. It features an open concept floor plan that includes the kitchen, dining and living room, and hardwood floors. Picture windows, and a long deck offer broad views of the lake and woods. We provide parking for four vehicles or boat trailers and canoe is included with the rental. A 50 ft dock usually stays in the lake until mid-October.

Three bedrooms (the master has a queen size bed) and two bathrooms accommodate up to seven adults. Small children are welcome. Two recently renovated bathrooms offer a walk-in shower and a tub shower with grab bars and slip resistant floors making them ideal for seniors. Seniors will also appreciate a second, two-step, entryway at the south end of the house and the single-floor layout.

Besides AC, the house has soft water, washer and dryer, a dishwasher and a fully equipped kitchen. Amenities include high speed internet, satellite TV, a DVD player, wifi, yard and board games, jigsaw puzzles, books, a fire pit (wood supplied) a picnic table and a gas grill. Linens, towels and dishes are also included.

The house sits toward the top of a mile long peninsula that bisects Kitchi Lake, which, itself, lies is in the middle of the Cass Lake chain of eight inter-navigable lakes. The lake offers a variety of game fish including walleye, northern pike, crappie, blue gills large mouth bass and muskie. Cass Lake, a ten minute boat ride from the house, is also one of the state’s premier muskie lakes and a favorite with trophy fishermen. If you bring your own boat, a boat landing is available about a mile from the house, or you can usually rent a boat on the lake.

Nearby Bemidji offers a variety of family activities including hiking and biking on state trails, several golf courses, and major grocery and retail chains. Many of our guests book to attend programs at the Sanford Center or Bemidji State University while getting in some fishing. There are also three golf courses and a casino in the area.
