Cortijo el Chenil rural retreat, La Perrita

Cortijo el Chenil is a small rural retreat nestled at the foot of the Sierra de las Nieves, on the edge of the Beautiful white village of Casarabonela. We are surrounded by the beautiful Andalusian countryside, yet only 30 mins from the cosmopolitan city of Malaga with its many shops, bars, restaurants and fabulous beaches. If you'd prefer to explore the real Spanish countryside we are in the perfect location to get out and about with many beautiful towns and villages within easy reach and the stunning lakes at Ardales, which really are a must see, are only 25 minutes away. Or if you'd prefer to just relax in peace and tranquillity we have everything you need right here.

Our Rural Retreat consists of 2 luxury self catering apartments, our own home and our stables. We have 9 acres of land including a fishing lake, there is a natural stream which runs through the middle of our land surrounded by bamboo which is a haven for wildlife and a bird watchers dream. We are ideally situated for those who enjoy cycling, mountain biking, horse riding, hiking, fishing, kayaking, and we are within easy reach of the famous Caminito del Rey for the more adventurous among you.

The apartment is fully appointed, spacious and decorated in a light and modern style with everything you meed to enjoy a fabulous break. Only 5 km from the beautiful white village of Casarabonela where you will find plenty of amenities, including supermarkets, butchers, fishmongers and bakeries, as well as a fabulous array of bars and restaurants offering a variety of dishes and a beautiful municipal pool with fabulous views down to the coast.

There is a bar at the retreat which is occasionally open for events. Please contact us to ask if there are any events happening during your stay.

We have our own horses on site and there are dogs at the retreat who stay within the confines of our home. There is also a cat who roams around, so for this reason we do not allow pets.
