"We were only able to stay one night, but our night at the Vallombrosa vineyard was very peaceful. The hosts were very helpful and kind and were gracious to bring me some emergency supplies. Although the property lies in a beautiful setting, it’s important to note that it takes at least 30 minutes to get to Lugano and the lake by car. "This is a unique property set on a hilltop overlooking Lake Varese. It is very peaceful and truly a grand property that has old meeting new. The hotel is a historic property so note that it has all that is charming and wonderful about being an older property and don’t expect the latest smart tv, etc. The pool area is fabulous and we enjoyed the meals at both the hotel dining room and pool bar area. Highly recommended!"
