The stay and tours at Arrowana Lodge was amazing, The people at the lodge went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. They even took care of dieteray restrictions. Kudos to Anderson and Larissa for giving us

Wonderful lodge and people

This felt like you were staying with a local family because they stay on the lodge property too. The staff was amazing and caring. The property is in a beautiful area and the guides have things to do multiple times a day. The meals were home cooked and offered a lot of variety. Overall I can’t say enough about the people and the location and the service. Suggestions for travelers include not taking a big suitcase, leave that at a hotel in Manaus and pack just the clothing needed for the lodge. Sit with others during meals, I met so many nice fellow travelers who made me, a solo traveler, feel comfortable. Take books, it’s so peaceful and relaxing, a great place to read and really disconnect.

The tour guides are extremely knowledgeable about the local fauna and flora. Everyone is very friendly. The food is typical for Brazilian standards, but more is provided then you can ever eat. Unfortunately, the beds do not have mosquito nets, so the only way to keep them out is to constantly have the AC running on low temperature, which gave me a mild cold for 3 days. I booked through Expedia and payed significantly more than my Friend who has a Brazilian passport. I stayed an extra day, which was cheaper then booking with Expedia. I recommend getting in touch directly via their website.

Wonderful Wildlife Encounters

We stayed at the Amazon Arowana resort for three nights and enjoyed many adventures during our time there. While accommodations are rustic, the wifi and air conditioning worked well, keeping us connected and cool throughout our time there. Highlights included lunches and dinners of fish, pork, beef ribs, roasted vegetables, delicious black beans over rice, and a variety of other dishes, but, most notably, the boat tours and forest walk led by Thiago, an expert guide whose English was outstanding. With Thiago leading the way, we saw two species of river dolphin (pink and grey), innumerable bird species, turtles, caiman, sloths, two species of monkey, many species of fish that we’d only seen in tropical aquariums, and various lizards. We also went piranha fishing (catch and release, and came across a huge colony of leaf cutter ants, many different kinds of termite colonies, and…bats! Quite the wildlife bonanza. Thiago also introduce us to some of the locals from whom we learned much about life in the Amazon. Truly a wonderful trip.

Lovely trip to the Amazon rainforest

If you want to experience the Amazon forest as close as possible to nature this is definitely the place. Although Eng. scares the guys and staff are extremely friendly and the place really is serene. Be prepared for very basic accommodation and very basic food Also it is about three hours by car in small motor boat and then by car and then again by boat to this place from Manaus Overall if this is what you were looking for then I would definitely recommend this place

Lodge sull’acqua. Si trova in una zona dell’ amazzonia relativamente “urbanizzata”, vicino nell’area ci sono altre Pousada, case ed anche un piccolo villaggio. Lo staff era sempre gentile e disponibile, nelle visite guidate abbiamo ricevuto indicazioni sulle piante ed animali (pochi) che abbiamo visto tuttavia nessuna spiegazione più ampia sull’ amazzonia e sulle rainforests, sul Loro funzionamento e la loro importanza. Ho imparato di più documentandomi sulla guida. Questa secondo me è stata una grave pecca. Alcune stanze affacciano sul waterfront, altre sulla parte che confina con la foresta. Sono attualmente in costruzione altre camere ma non abbiamo sentito alcun rumore perché i lavori erano sospesi. In generale l’esperienza è stata gradevole tuttavia per quello che abbiamo pagato mi sarei aspettata qualcosa in più.

Unser Aufenthalt in Lodge war von Anfang bis Ende super. Der Transfer mit van und Boot verlief Reibungslos. Alles perfekt organisiert. Die Kommunikation vor ab per WhatsApp war super. Die Ausstattung der Zimmer ist einfach. Aber alles ist sehr sauber. Das Essen war wirklich super. Insbesondere bei Fleisch und Fisch gab es jeden Tag etwas Abwechslung. Es gibt viele schöne Sitzgelegenheiten mit tollem Blick. Unser Guide Anderson hat alle Touren super organisiert und durchgeführt. Jede Frage wurde beantwortet. Es gab 2-3 Touren pro Tag. Ich würde die Lodge uneingeschränkt empfehlen!!

Experiência maravilhosa!

Hotel de selva aconchegante, com atividades incluídas na reserva. O traslado de Manaus ao hotel de selva e o retorno, dura em torno de 3 horas e já é um passeio, alternando viagens terrestres e fluviais, parando para fotos e contemplação da natureza e interações com a comunidade local. Os veículos de transporte são simples, sem ar condicionado, mas apesar do calor que assola a região não fez falta. Glaucio, o motorista da kombi nos apresentou a rambutan, uma fruta deliciosa, nos proporcionou experiências pelo caminho como conhecer vitórias régias e a macaquinha véia. Nosso guia Anderson foi sensaciona e nos proporcionou outras vivências como caminhada na selva, passeio noturno para ver os animais como jacarés, Cobras, macacos e pássaros, passeio pra conhecer projeto de proteção de tartarugas, Botos cinza e cor de rosa, a Sumaúma (uma árvore enorme da Amazônia) etc. Fizemos o pacote de 3 dias e duas noites. O hotel é bem aconchegante e a comida deliciosa, o hotel é flutuante, com ar condicionado, chuveiro elétrico, frigobar repleto de água. Comida, sucos e água incluído na hospedagem.
