As usual we enjoyed our stay. Lovely comfy bed, quiet room, extremely friendly and helpful staff and our little home from home. We will be back again very soon.

Have stayed here a few times always great. Lovely helpful staff, spotlessly clean, comfortable beds and super for doggies. Such a fantastic price it will never be beaten!!

Really nice stay yet again, staff were lovely and moved us to the correct room, a double was booked but was with my son, and moved me to a family room with no hassle at all. Would recommend, and really good value.

Excellent stay
Despite it's convenient location at the services, it was very quiet. Parking was easy (just remember to log your vehicle at the desk) and plentiful EV chargers at the services. Room was great although it could do with having a chair in the room.

This was not a great stay the room we booked was a family room that stayted a double bed and two twin beds and in the photos they look like two twin beds but in fact one is a pull out bed on the floor. Secondly there is no air conditioning and yes they provide a fan but thats so noisy when it is on and not only that the family room only has two plug sockets so if you have the fan on you cant charge phones and ipads or watch the television. We had to open the windows instead as the fan was noisy but then when you open the windows you hear the motorway so either way you dont get any sleep. Lastly there were people smoking cannabis outside in the green area both nights and the smell was so strong it wafted up to our room on the first floor. I wont be returning and will pay the extra to stay at the Premier inn in future

Had a family room with the grandkids we visitited porthcawl and did some shopping at mcarthur glen .our room was very clean.staff were welcoming.will be coming back.

We LOVE staying at The Coal Exchange Hotel!! Always super friendly service and the rooms are lovely. My partners eyes light up when I tell him we’re staying because he loves the spa baths. We love this place so much we’re having our wedding here! It’s reasonably priced and in a lovely location. I can’t wait for our next visit

this is an excellent place to stay the staff are very helpful and always pleasant with the guests. the only thing that could make things that much better would be a armchair so you can relax and read rather than the single hard back chair provided

Basic Value hotel great staff
The service is great the staff are so friendly. The room was a bit tatty and could do with some renovations but the sheets and towels were clean. Might be nice to have clean towels and room clean at least every other day.

If you are coming your own vehicle it’s so convenient to reach out or else you have to walk from the shopping center about 15 minutes..and it’s so tricky as well but doesn’t matter when you reach the hotel reception there is a beautiful lady is waiting for you with a drawn map route..she was so welcoming and explained everything so crystal and clear..I would definitely recommend day inn for everyone..cheers
