Big skies and wide-reaching views of undulating fields and stunning Monmouthshire countryside, the cottage is a complete retreat, in an area teeming with natural beauty, with plenty of great activities and days out within very easy reach.

Sitting adjacent to the beautiful Wye Valley, with many fabulous walks right on your doorstep, including the Gloucestershire Way and Offa’s Dyke Path within ten minutes. The Black Mountains are also in easy reach, whilst fantastic fishing can be found nearby on the River Usk, with day permits available locally or visit fishingpassport.co.uk website. Chepstow is a traditional market town within a short drive, steeped in history and where you can explore the castle or relax within the castle grounds, or enjoy the many restaurants, pubs and local shops. The peaceful village of Tintern, famed for the ruins of Tintern Abbey and books, is perfect for a lazy afternoon tea. The Forest of Dean is within easy reach, with activities such as the Sculpture trail at Beechenhurst Woods, Go Ape climbing centre and Puzzlewood, where many TV shows and films such As Harry Potter and Star Wars have been made.

The entrance leads you into a beautiful and cosy dining area with exposed oak beams and an original stone flagged floor, with the bonus of underfloor heating. The comfortable lounge has a large sofa, from which to enjoy the warmth of the wood burner on chillier Autumn nights, and a TV and DVD for evening entertainment. A few steps leads you to a spacious and well equipped kitchen with electric oven and induction hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, freezer and a separate utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer, plus drying racks. There is a patio door leading to a terrace with gorgeous countryside views, perfect for whiling away the hours listening to the birdsong. Upstairs are two extremely comfortable bedrooms: the master king-size with en-suite shower room with rain shower and a second bedroom with twin beds, both of which have countryside views. The main bathroom has bath, shower and separate WC and is located downstairs.

Outside there is a fully fenced rear garden, making it perfect for dogs, with beautiful views, BBQ, firepit (bring your own charcoal) and outdoor seating in summer months.
