Our 3 Bedroom, 2 Bath condo is located just steps to beautiful Grant Street Beach and a short three block walk to Washington Street Mall and historic Jackson Street. Located at 3 South Lafayette Street, our condo is conveniently located close to everything in Cape May.

Whether planning a family vacation, a romantic getaway, wedding, attending one of Cape May’s many events or a girls getaway weekend, the Sand Dunes Condo has it all.

Our condo is available for rent YEAR-ROUND!

The Sand Dunes Condo is the lower-level unit of a large historic home built in 1860. Our unit is considered a Garden Unit and is approximately 6 inches below grade with numerous windows that allow for plenty of natural light. The unit can be accessed from the side walkway.

The Sand Dunes Condo is perfect for families with children (as everything is on one floor) or couples. The unit has a family room, functional efficiency kitchen, 3 bedrooms (ONE QUEEN, ONE FULL and TWO TWIN BEDS) and 2 full bathrooms, including a full-size tub. Additionally, there is a heated outdoor shower located adjacent to the back patio.

The kitchen is equipped with everything you'll need to make breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks. This includes a coffee maker that can make a full pot of coffee or k-cups, a toaster, blender, small stove and a microwave.

Each bedroom is fully-equipped with a SMART TV that can be connected to your streaming accounts.

The condo can accommodate up to 6 people comfortably. The condo is air conditioned throughout.

As it is in a historic home, the Condo is unique in that it has a long and narrow lay-out. There are two bedrooms in the front half of the unit that are connected and a private master suite with an adjacent bathroom at the back of the unit.

The condo includes a private washer and dryer that are available for your use during your stay. In addition, two bicycles are available for your use, a private patio and a gas grill for cooking.

The large porch on the second floor of our building is NOT available for our tenant’s use.

While Cape May is a walking town, you have access to one reserved parking space conveniently located one block from the condo. In addition, there are numerous free off-street parking spots located within a short distance from the Condo.

Our condo is located just one short block to beautiful Grant Street beach. Additionally, it is three blocks to the Washington Street Mall, numerous restaurants, and historic Jackson street.

Take a stroll of the Victorian streets or a bike ride and check out the lighthouse, bird watch and nature preserve or setting sun at Sunset Beach.

You'll quickly see that our condo unit, the Sand Dunes, is located on a quiet street and central to everything you need to have a relaxing and enjoyable vacation.

Towels, linens, beach chairs and umbrellas are NOT provided as part of the rental.

Amazing little spot

We loved staying here. Location was amazing that we could walk everywhere. House was clean and just as advertised and pictured! Couldn't hear the people above us or around us at all. Will definitely be rebooking a 2025 stay!

Great location!

This is a lovely rental and a great find! It was very clean when we arrived and has plenty of natural light in the living spaces. The location is incredible. We could hear the ocean from the sidewalk in front of the unit and the shops are easily within walking distance. Having the parking spot is great, even off season. Street parking immediately in front of the unit is metered, but there is free street parking in the surrounding blocks to the northwest. The owner is extremely responsive and accommodating. The home is cozy and was comfortable for our group of 4. Overall for the price and location, this is a gem.

Sisters Weekend

My sisters & I meet every year during the off season for a weekend without spouses, kids, or dogs - just us! We loved how close this rental was to the beach & Washinton Mall. We parked our cars on the street in front & just walked everywhere the entire weekend. House is cozy, but also has 3 bedrooms! Owner super responsive when we locked ourselves out! Lived our stay!

Great stay in Cape May!!

Quick getaway for our family of 5. Very easy. Condo is as advertised and was the perfect size. It's also a great location! One block to the beach and walking distance to shopping and restaurants. Reserved parking spot is definitely a bonus!! We will certainly be coming back! Thank you!

Girls' Get-A-Way

The place is great, very clean. We appreciated the layout in that it is spread out. We went the first weekend in December so didn't really use the outside amenities or the kitchen, but it does seem to have everything you'd need. The owner is so nice and that is always a comfort. The drawback is if there are people above, you will hear voices, walking and chairs moving. It's unavoidable. So, if you don't mind being on someone else's wake schedule and/or you are an early riser anyway, then the place is great. Our stay was perfect other than the early morning wake ups. :)

Excellent stay - great location

We had a great stay in Cape May at the Sand Dunes condo. I stayed there with 2 children (7 and 9) and 3 adults. Really loved the location - so close to the beach and to the shopping areas downtown. The listing is very accurate and clear about the condo being below grade with some uneven levels, which added some dampness and some getting used to when stepping into the bathrooms, but entirely expected thanks to the clear information. We appreciated all the “extras” - we didn’t use the provided bikes but it was so nice to have as an option. The storage area where the bikes and laundry were was great just to store suitcases and all. Beds were very comfortable! The outside shower was great and loved that there was a little shelf for your things. Would have loved a larger area to eat but we made do at the kitchen table by adding a folding chair that was in the storage area. Also made use of the picnic table outside. Overall a fantastic stay and we’d certainly consider staying here again.

Location! Location! Location!

Very good location and competitive pricing. I liked that the owners were super responsive. I liked that there were 2 bikes offered on the property. The location really was amazing; 1 block from Boardwalk and beach. I would say a good choice for a couple or a family with no more than 2 kids. The property details did mention below grade and on lower floor, yet I did not quite grasp that we were actually staying in a renovated basement in a historic home! That was my fault for not paying more attention. Because it is a renovated basement in a historic house, you can expect to experience chilliness in cold weather, a constant battle with dampness, lower ceiling heights and a design that affords absolutely NO CLOSETS! We had to attend military events with formal clothes that needed to be hung on hangers. NOPE! And yes, being on the lower unit, you will most definitely hear the renters above you clearly. I also might suggest a better cable package for the TV in the living room. Parking in Cape May is a challenge for all, yet in this unit, be mindful that the 1 parking space provided is around the corner. Owners will explain that before you check-in, yet again, I didn't fully understand until we arrived and was confused to where we should park. The parking spot is at another house (pink house) around the corner!

This condo was a perfect place for a girlfriend’s weekend! The location was perfect. Only drove my car once the whole time we were here. We had plenty of room and the beds were very comfortable. The parking was a little tricky to figure out, but John called me back within 3 minutes and it all worked out. I would definitely recommend staying here in Cape May.
