Wonderful

It was a wonderful stay. We loved the cottage, the location. Geri, the host was very accomadating. I loved the original interior, old eclectic furnishings, perfect bay side, very good feel. If you like old beach feel, this is the place. Only negative, top bunk too tight for anyone but a child. Would definitely come back again.
We had a great weekend relaxing on the dock and couldn’t want anything more than to stay! This is a beautiful place to stay and the host was so welcoming and accommodating! Would stay here every time we go away if possible!
We booked this as a family vacation and really enjoyed our stay. Geri made us feel like we were home. This is centrally located to everything around that we wanted to do. The house was cozy and even included beach passes which is a definite plus. Geri was a fantastic host to our family and look forward in staying again in the future.
Geri was an awesome and generous host! The cottage was perfect for our long weekend! Felt mesmerized by the wildlife we saw off the dock. Thanks again for sharing your beach house with us!
Geri is a great host and her place is clean and homey. We have a great time crabbing and resting at the back patio. Neighbors are great too, he gave us some fish bait and tips to get more crabs. Stone Harbor beach is awesome as well as the surrounding places. Nice place to spend family time and unwind away from hustle and bustle of the city
We loved our stay!! The property was perfect for us. We esp loved the outdoor patio, dock, swing & covered area/picnic table on the dock. It was so enjoyable to have our meals right there while taking in the warm ocean breeze. The blue crabbing was amazing! We caught more than we ever have! Also loved the outdoor shower & pretty flowers decorating the landscape.
Thank you Geri for a great stay!
Geri was great and we enjoyed our stay. Loved bird watching and relaxing on the back bay. There was construction next door but hopefully that will be done soon for the next renters. Otherwise great little house with a cool kids room and great outside space with a cool covered deck right on the bay channel!
Thanks!
We had a very relaxing vacation. The view from the dock is amazing! Geri was very helpful during the check in process. We had a hard time figuring out the microwave. It would be nice if it was replaced with a newer microwave oven. Overall, the place was great and as advertised.

Another Great Trip!
This is the 3rd year my friends and I have stayed at this location for our annual fishing trip. We all love sitting on the back dock at Sunset with a few beers and crabs.
Every year has been great and this year was no different! The property is wonderful and the check-in/check-out process is seamless. Geri has been very accommodating to my group throughout the years, and we'll definitely be staying here again next year!
I would definitely recommend staying here - it's got a deck and a dock, plus it's less than 2 miles from the beach!
Geri was a fabulous host! Her house is super cute and was a perfect size for us. The only thing that bothered us was the construction on the house next door that they are building. But that is out of her control.
We really enjoyed our stay at Geris place so thank u!

Great Wedding Weekend with Friends
Geri's house was perfect for my friends and I for our long weekend for a wedding at the Reeds. The house was quaint, clean, and decorated as a great beach cottage. It was a quick drive into downtown Stone Harbor, but also so nice to relax on the pier at high tide. She also had a starting supply of all of the basic amenities which was very thoughtful, as you cant find that down the shore very often these days. Geri was quick to respond, polite, and professional. I would recommend anyone to stay at her home, and I would definitely stay again in the future.

A place to unplug your electronics and recharge your soul.
Cute cottage w all the modern amenities included. The star of the show, however, is the outside space that includes the dock for crabbing, socializing, bird watching, meditating or whatever makes you personally relaxed. Coffee on the outside deck in the morning. Beers on patio in the late afternoon. Watching the tide go in and out. I couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful location that literally spoke to my soul.
It will do, is a plaque that is out by the dock so I thought it would be funny to have the title say that. It more than does what he needs to do. it’s very relaxing I love watching the tides go in and out. The house has a very seashore atmosphere. The wildlife keeps you busy for quite some time as there is so much to look at. Geri is wonderful to work with. We had a lovely time with this place could not have asked for better it’s certainly will do.

Unanimous vote of 6: we wouldn't come back!
I just received the full refund of my deposit this morning and have only a few minutes to write this review or it would be more detailed. The homeowner expressed no dissatisfaction of our treatment of her house or her valuables. Our group of six (four adults and two kids) rented this house for five nights. On our final evening we voted as to whether we had enjoyed staying at the house and would like to book another vacation there, and the vote was unanimously: No! After the vote, we decided to return home that evening, instead of checking out in the morning, as originally planned. In fairness to the feelings of our entire group, I have given the house only a single star. Although we love Stone Harbor and her pristine beaches and small town atmosphere, this property was not the vacation home for us.

Not exactly what you see is what you get!
My family stayed at Geri’s house from August 15th - 20th. Although Geri was very pleasant and it was nice to sit on the dock in the evenings, there were issues. The first thing we noticed was a strange smell in the house; we remedied this by buying deodorizers and putting them throughout the house. The next issue was the additional bedroom with bunk beds. There was no air conditioner in this room and it was separated from the rest of the house by a breezeway. It was a particularly hot that week and that our daughters would be sleeping in a room that wasn’t actually part of the house, we opted to put them in the living room with our son. This would have been okay but Geri neglected to tell us that the pull out bed is broken; instead, she told us to make sure the kids didn’t jump on it because it could break. We didn’t want to be the ones to pay for an already broken couch, so my husband reinforced the bed by adding supports underneath it so that it would not break on our watch. Please be aware that whoever rents the house next is probably going to be charged for a couch/bed that is already broken. In addition to the poor condition of the house, we had to deal with a cricket infestation. We spent a good portion of the week killing crickets. The cricket situation was so bad that after we got home, we had to inspect all of our belongings to be sure we were not bringing crickets into our own home. On the last day we were there, I carefully washed, dried and folded all of the sheets and towels along with wiping everything down. Shortly after we got home, we received an email from Geri thanking us for taking such good care of her home. A few days later, in spite of all of our efforts, Geri notified us that she would not be refunding our entire security deposit; she withheld money because a gold plated filter for the coffee pot was missing; she suggested that we must have thrown it out and that the paper filters (that she provided) were not for the coffee maker. I assured here we did not see the special filter, but she insisted that we must have thrown it out. Although, it was not a lot of money, we feel the need to make sure others are aware of what they are getting into. I cannot recommend this rental for a vacation spot. I expect to relax on my vacation; I do not expect to be fixing things, killing bugs, washing sheets and towels or paying extra for things that I didn’t break/lose.
We enjoyed the proximity of this house to town and to the beautiful beaches of Stone Harbor. The house being built next door wasn’t very peaceful. Morning coffee was met with pounding hammers, but not the owners fault , but it would be nice to be aware of when booking a relaxing vacation.
The sunsets beautifully by the bay and the distant lights of Wildwood are so pretty at night. The house is small but has everything you need to get by. My kids loved staying there. The outside shower was a hit but keep in mind the workers next door can see right into it so we had to throw paddle boards on top of the shower for privacy.
The beach tags were a nice added touch.
Owner was very kind.

Terrible experience
Due to covid pandemic we took a trip with family for the first time and stayed at this place . It’s very small place so my kids were really disappointed as they were expecting something more bigger and nicer as advertised on website . On first night we found out the sofa bed is broken , we contacted the owner she send her daughter to inspect it and told us it might have happened due to family staying before us . We were sleeping on the floor for the stay . When we checked out I asked us if she can refund some of the money as a courtesy and she replied she will look into it .
1 week later when I texted her about follow up , she texted me that we didn’t clean the sheets ( we used our own blankets and sheets throughout the stay ) , sofa cover missing , and wire basket is missing which we don’t have any clue about since we didn’t see any of them . Not only that she sends me extra bill for $275 to cover for this things and not a single word for refund of any money for broken sofa which was her own responsibility.
Worst experience ever .
Spent a lot of time outdoors sitting on the dock watching the girls catch crabs and putting them back in. Was a good location for us because each day we were going to a different place to explore. Even though we didn’t cook kitchen equipped well. Our host gave us suggestions on where to eat and places to go. Had a nice time.
I stayed a week with my almost 9 year old daughter and found everything we could’ve possibly needed. We adored the charm of this house and kayaking up and down the bay. The neighborhood was quiet and so close to everything. Our hostess was lovely and thorough. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience.
