"Kevin, the property owner was very friendly and helpful. I was stuck on the island unexpectedly due to bush fires on the mainland and Kevin assisted me throughout. "Nature's Embrace - Pelican cabin was a perfect chocie for our family holiday. The house itself was clean and well provisioned with linen, towels, salt/pepper/oil and small appliances for convenience. Our stay was made very comfortable by the air conditioning and very comfortable beds. The extra convenience of having wifi, a smart tv, board games and even wireless charging stations made the stay extra pleasant. Location was perfect! Close to Penneshaw and fairly centrally locates in the middle of the island so Kingscote and Vivonne Bay were still fairly close. And loved sharing the space with some wild locals who enjoyed lounging outside our cabin and raiding the bins. Our host Liam was great with communication and made sure to check in regularly to make sure we had everything we needed to make our stay complete. Couldnt have wished for more. "

"We really enjoyed staying here. The house was comfortable, clean and spacious. It is set up well for families and we had the best summer holiday. The house is close to the beach and near to other outdoor activities & the Flinders Chase national park. There was also beautiful wildlife on our doorstep every night. With three energetic kids it was a great place to base to ourselves for long walks and body boarding at the beach, the Harriet river where we went kayaking and near the Sahara sand dunes for sand boarding and also some quad biking which was excellent if that’s your thing. We also did a day trip to explore Western River Cove, Stokes Bay & Emu bay it was a long day of driving but worth it to see all the beautiful beaches and some good lunch spots too (The Rock Pool Cafe. Beach Day Emu Bay and So Sando in Kingscote) Based on our experience: - Stock up on groceries, I recommend bringing breakfast & lunch options and then heading to the Vivonne bay general store (closes a 6pm in summer) or the Parndana pub for dinner open till 8pm. - Book activities ahead of time if you don’t have much flexibly in your schedule - It’s pretty hard to avoid the mozzies so put a bit of insect repellent on before bed We look forward to coming back again next summer"

"We loved our time at Kangastay. The location was great for our day trips and the house had everything we needed and a well stocked pantry of basics. Vivonne bay was beautiful and having the general store at the end of the road was great. We didn't get to see the possum but it was so nice to have food there to put out for him.
