"Secluded place. Set-up to get through our whole stay and never see the host. The most confusing part was the poorly marked signage of the rooms and cottages for guests when they arrive. A sign with ‘owl’ and ‘Eagle’ above the deck stair from the road would have been very helpful, as would readable signs above all the rooms and cottage doors. Other guests were confused, too! All in all, nicely set-up for ‘self-serve guests. Never found the outside garbage cans to take our garbage sacks to like the check-out instructions requested.If there was a layout of Owl (to plan for walking through the second bedroom at night for instance,) it would have helped…. None of these things kept us from enjoying our stay in this beautiful site, however."

"This is a stunning property on the Straight of San Juan de Fuca with extensive beach access in a good location. The unit was good with ample windows for enjoying the view and plenty of space for my husband and I and our small terrier. It was a good base for the sightseeing and fishing we did. We enjoyed seeing lots of shore birds and even a group of otters on the beach. Towels and linens were good and we found the bed comfortable. The unit is showing its age a bit but that's not uncommon in rentals and nothing troublesome."
