La Casa de los Espejos
This unique and lovingly renovated townhouse La Casa de los Espejos is not, as the Spanish word espejo suggests, a mirror house. However, the space here is so skilfully used that it really does feel like a huge room. The idyllic backyard with its small, partially covered terrace has the luxury of a private pool. It's perfect for a dip if the heat of the day gets too much. Afterwards, the terrace, tiled with typical Mallorcan cobblestones, invites you to close your eyes and enjoy the sun on one of the sun loungers or sit down on one of the comfortable wooden chairs for an outdoor café. Thanks to the walls surrounding the outdoor area, the whole space feels sheltered and secure. There is a large dining table where the whole party can gather and toast the end of the day with a cool drink. The wooden fence around the pool ensures that you can relax throughout the day if you are travelling with a baby or toddler.
The terrace leads into the very cosy and tastefully decorated living room, which creates a luxurious and sophisticated atmosphere with its exquisite Persian carpet and fine artwork. The cobblestone wall in the room helps to make you fall in love with this space immediately. For indoor seating, you can choose between the round glass table in the living room and a table in the fully equipped kitchen. Here you can bring complicated dishes to life that you may not have had time for at home. There is also a guest WC on the ground floor. On the first and second floors there is a bathroom and three bedrooms each, and one on each floor even has the luxury of its own bathroom. Half of the bedrooms have two single beds, while the other has a marvellous double bed. Colour accents and artwork give each room a unique character, making you feel right at home. The balcony could become your favourite spot, offering sweeping views of the mountain landscape.
Capdepera itself is a village steeped in history, as evidenced by the 13th century castle. A quiet road runs right past this townhouse, although you can hear it from time to time. This means you can quickly drive to the sea; one destination would be the harbour town of Cala Ratjada, for example, which has a beautiful harbour promenade and a lively nightlife and is only about 5 minutes away by car. For a relaxing day at the beach, we recommend the unspoilt Cala Agulla on the north coast and Platja Son Moll. Fine sand and a pleasantly gentle slope into the water are among the special advantages here. Be sure to visit the natural beaches of Cala Torta or Cala Mesquida and, on the way back, make a detour to the medieval town of Artà, 8 kilometres from the house, to round off the day. This renovated townhouse La Casa de los Espejos offers the best of both worlds: Urban village charm goes hand in hand with a thoroughly exquisite location. Cala Ratjada is only 3.5 km away and offers a vibrant nightlife and beautiful walks along the seafront promenade. If you like unspoilt beaches, Cala Agulla is just 3.5 km away.
