Stylishly Renovated Boxcar that sleeps 4 near WTAMU & Palo Duro Canyon

EC can sleep 4 comfortably. There is a queen size bed as well as a queen size pull out couch. The kitchenette is equipped with a keurig coffee maker, toaster, electric kettle, microwave and refrigerator. The bathroom has several extras in case you forget something. The shower, which has exposed copper plumbing, is sure to impress. Outside there is a small patio with adirondack chairs that over looks the horse pasture and our beautiful Panhandle sunsets that stretch for miles and miles.

A wonderful stay
We had a wonderful time at the boxcar! Becky was amazing and provided so much good information. She provided lots of extra touches that made the stay extra special, like snacks and supplies. All the animals were fun to interact with and the sunsets were beautiful. Thank you, Becky!

Unique and handy
Our stay at El Capitan was novel and fun. Easy access to Palo Duro Canyon and downtown Canyon, TX. Host Becky was terrific and our dog enjoyed the horses and dogs on property. Would recommend to anyone seeking a unique experience!

Great stay!
Absolutely great accommodations! The container was so cute and worked great for the 4 days we visited Palo Duro Canyon. Very quiet place to relax and unwind. Becky was a great host and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay! We will definitely be back!

This is a great place to stay for some quiet and some really big skies, and it is very close to Palo Duro Canyon State Park and the cute town of Canyon, TX. The rail car is absolutely adorable and extremely comfortable and clean. I wish I had been able to stay longer and will definitely come back. Becky is a great host - she offered so many nice details in her hospitality which made me feel at home, and I also felt like I had privacy. I stayed here in the winter and would like to return in the warmer months and enjoy the outdoor seating and grill.

Amazing Hospitality in the TX Panhandle
My wife, two children and our dog Norman absolutely loved our stay at El Capitan. Becky could not have been more hospitable and the boxcar is as homey and comfy as it gets. Becky had truly thought of everything. We all enjoyed the waking up to the horses and donkeys in the pastures and the sunset in the evening is breathtaking. We look forward to coming back and visiting her other boxcar the Grand Chief!

The Wild West
This was the kick off to our family vacation towards the west! The boxcar is incredibly beautiful I loved the decor and landscaping. My kids were so excited for the sweet dogs and the fact they were sleeping in a train car. It happened to be the last full moon of the year the night we stayed and laying down seeing the moon through the skylights was my most favorite. I love finding unique places to stay and this one gave me so much inspiration!

Unique Experience
Becky is a fantastic host and provides so many personal touches. The boxcar was a unique experience and we loved the skylights over the bed, especially as we were there for the Beaver Full Moon. It is close to Palo Duro Canyon and it is quiet and peaceful at night. We would definitely recommend it and stay there again.

WOW, just WOW!
Becky, the boxcar is a great idea and your refurbishment is awesome. Being from the DFW area we really enjoyed the big sky and the added bonus of the moon peeking thru the skylight. A fantastic place to stay. Thank you for your hospitality.
