  • The Balsam Mountain Cabin is our quietest cabin, set on the 12-acre grounds of the historic Engadine Inn and Cabins, just 15 minutes west of downtown Asheville. Warm wood interiors and long mountain views make it the kind of place you come to rest rather than rush. It suits couples, and has room for a small family or a second couple.

    -Sleeping: One queen bed in the bedroom and a queen-size sleeper sofa in the living area.
    -Bathroom: Full private bathroom
    -Kitchen: Fully equipped kitchen with everything you need
    -Living Space: Comfortable living area with a cozy mountain-cabin feel
    -Outdoor Space: Porch for taking in the fresh air and surrounding peaks

    You have all 12 private acres to wander, with on-site hiking trails and mountain views in every direction. The historic 1885 Queen Anne inn sits just up the hill, listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
