Disappointing Stay at RIU Palace - Look Elsewhere for a True Cancun Experience
I recently stayed at the RIU Palace in Cancun, and I feel compelled to share my experience to help others make an informed decision. Despite the allure of a jacuzzi in the room and the promise of multiple restaurants, the reality fell short of expectations.
The only redeeming qualities of this property were the beautiful beach and the decent pools, although even those were not as clean as one would hope. Beyond that, the experience was underwhelming, to say the least.
The food was, without exaggeration, some of the most disappointing I’ve ever encountered at a resort. It was not just a matter of taste; it was a question of quality and variety. The so-called restaurants offered little to no respite from the overall lackluster dining experience.
Service, or the lack thereof, was another significant issue. The staff seemed indifferent, lacking the professionalism and attentiveness one would expect from a supposedly top-tier resort. It’s as if they have no interest in ensuring guests have a pleasant stay.
The entertainment team, with the notable exceptions of Danny the dance guy and Sophia, showed a similar lack of enthusiasm. Their inconsistency and apparent apathy did little to enhance the overall atmosphere of the resort.
I don’t take pleasure in writing negative reviews, I feel it’s necessary to warn potential guests about the RIU Palace. Save your money and your vacation!
