Location of hotel was excellent, rooms cleaned everyday, staff so welcoming and fab entertainment everyday & evening
2 double beds in our room with a small mini fridge for water etc Lots of storage for clothes
Excellent stay. Everywhere is kept clean.beds super comfy.as was our room. Plenty of choice for food and the staff were very efficient, nothing was too much trouble, the outside areas are very pleasant with a nice pool.we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. This was our second time at Augustus, and we wouldn't hesitate to book again
Lovely room, with fantastic pool
And sea views. Stayed for a few days during the Easter holiday, weather was really good for so early in the season. Will definitely stay at the hotel again.
4 night stay for leisure. Staff lovely, entertainment team really work hard. If I had to put a negative on anything it would be at breakfast I would have like more fruit like grapes, strawberries and mixed fruit cut up ready to eat. My husband was delighted with the hot food. The only other small criticism would be that I was not able to swim in the pool as it had no area roped off for swimmers and was pretty packed. However I should have checked this out before booking. Overall we were happy with our stay here.
Hotel clean and well-kept, cleaning ladies very nice. only one observation hotel staff should know English at a communicative level, especially waiters
Fantastic location, clean and lovely pool area right next to the beach. Great choice of food at every sitting. Supermarket across the road for drinks. Ideal for bike hiring and walking into salou 1 mile or Cambrils 3 miles on safe path along the beach.
Part of a longer trip. Had booked a night at the hotel full board. Great value for money. Wish stayed longer. Sea is accessible from the hotel gate, nice and clean beach.
Would note that you get charged for drinks/water at lunch and dinner. No poolside towel hire Available and you are not allowed to take room towels to the pool or beach.

Liked: Staff & service, amenities
The hotel was rated 4* but seemed more like 3. Although, the beach was accessible the town was a little dirty. Lots of litter on the streets. The Airconditioner couldn’t make our room cool enough, although, it did work somewhat. The staff was good.
The staff where friendly and good options were plenty.
Pool is in the smaller side but being closer to the beach makes it good too.
They leave the fire exit at the end of the corridors open during the day for ventilation, which is a huge health and safety hazard, the staircase is right by the doors and it is so easy to fall off. I was travelling with small kids and that made me feel so uneasy!

unclear rules of full board
not so amazing, very loose interpretation of full board as we needed to pay for water during each lunch and dinner and it wasn't a market price. Not to mention no wine nor beer free for meals which was disappointing for the Span. The location was great, staff at the reception helpful and food good. But the paying for drinks like water was really disspoining
I've just returned from a 3 day trip from Manchester to Cambrils/Salou, and we absolutely LOVED the hotel. My Mum (82yrs old now) and I have been coming to Cambrils for years (around 50 years!) and we always love it.
The hotel is perfect! The location is ideal for anyone who doesn't want to walk far to the beach, local shops, restaurants - everything! There aren't nightclubs etc in this area, so may not be ideal for younger adults - but if you want the nightlife then it's close (taxi or bus, or walking) to the hustle and bustle of Salou Centre. We absolutely loved it. And will be back.
The staff at the hotel are fabulous. We loved the Grease night this week - the entertainments team have worked very hard on it. It was fabulous.
The restaurant staff are great too - very hard working, and the food (we only had breakfast) was delicious, and plenty of it.
We will be back! Gracias.
Booked 2 double beds. Got given 2 singles on check in. Took a lot for them to give us the room we had booked. Very rude staff. Language barrier was an issue in all departments. No kettle in room and no option to rent one so we had to ask for hot water from the bar staff once a day to make babies bottles (7 month old). Massive issue to bar staff and it was noticeable very very grumpy when we asked. Good location with bars and restaurants close by. Check out we didn’t even get asked if we had a nice stay. I get the feeling they don’t like English guests here.

Liked: Staff & service
Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
To start with, the staff and communal facilities of the hotel were lovely. Staff were very helpful with questions about local knowledge, how to get around, booking taxis etc. The bar areas, restaurant, outdoor pool and bathrooms were all in very good condition, all clean and well maintained.
The bedroom we had was on the first floor, overlooking the front of the hotel and a main road. The room was tired, and in need of a renovation. The walls had marks and paint chips, cupboard doors were hanging loose and in our room the air conditioning unit appeared to have come away from the ceiling slightly. The aircon itself took a long time to make any difference to the temperature of the room which led to us leaving the balcony door open and having to listen to traffic.
The bathroom in the room appeared to have been refreshed more recently than the rest of the room and was in a much better condition, however some of the grouting in the shower was discoloured. The beds were two singles pushed together on a relatively loose frame which moved quite a bit leaving a gap in the middle which got larger through the night.
On the whole, the stay was pleasant however there are definitely areas that need addressing. Communal facilities were definitely worthy of 4*, but bedroom was not.
Staff worked so hard. Friendly, super clean hotel and pool area. Amazing really. Entertainment was great. The only thing is the air conditioning. You are forced as a guest to tolerate 24 degrees Celsius in your room. They have a strict policy about this according to maintenance and front desk. They will not decrease the temperature for the guests. Unfortunately our room had all sun exposure all day, So the coldest our room would get was 25 degrees Celsius. First 2 days I left the patio door open at night to cool off the room, but unfortunately I eaten by mosquitos, which then had a severe allergic reaction to so ended up on antihistamines pills and creams. The heat in the room just aggravated the inflammation. Hence asked twice to have them lower the temperature in the room, maintenance said they could to our section of the hotel but needed permission. Needless to say nothing was done. So great hotel, just a warning to people that are heat sensitive, do NOT stay here. I spent 5 days in absolute discomfort, the saving grace is the pool which is slightly cold, but a God send when your overheating in the room.
