Overall was a good place to stay. Didnt like that the property is shared with other rental units that wasnt listed in the description. Grounds keeper was great and super friendly.
Property is great, will be even better once sauna and hot tub are finished.

Calumet house
Spacious living area, bedrooms, kitchen and dining with plenty of room. Well-furnished and comfortable. Nicely stocked with most essentials. Close to parks and town.
We are doing the Lake Superior Circle tour and were looking for a good base from which to explore Keweenaw Peninsula and to rest. This place was perfect.. close to everything and very quiet. We also had our dogs with us so grateful to find a dog-friendly place. There was more space than we needed, but the price was very reasonable!
This Calumet Cottage was just what we needed-a centrally located place to stay so that we could make day trips to explore the Keweenaw Peninsula. It was clean and supplied what we needed for our 5 night stay. The beds were comfortable and it was nice that each bedroom had its own window AC unit to meet everyone’s temperature desires.

Great Time
We found the house very nice, clean and most important spacious. The entertainment room is larger and a great family bonding opportunity. My kids enjoyed fishing in the pond in the backyard. It’s so close to the beach. We enjoyed the pasty festival that went on the same weekend of our stay. Overall, we had a great stay.
Overall a really good property at a reasonable price. With a few improvements this place would have five stars but the would not let that deter me from another stay. Plenty of room, clean house with everything you need to feel at home. My only recommendation is to get some actual bed pillows instead of the decorative ones that are on the beds.
Overall we were very happy with our rental experience. It was very comfortable and had plenty of space for my familt to visit. Very comfortable bedding. My one suggestion is to make sure gou check in before you get there . because I couldn
Our family of 11 (us, kids &grandkids) stayed for 4 days. House was immaculate and in a great location. You won’t regret renting this place.
Not one thing to complain about or that could be improved.
Thanks so much!!!!
Great location for snowmobiling and Michigan Tech visit. House has its little quirks like no cell service but nothing that would prevent us from coming back. Plenty of room for everyone. Complimentary supplies were provided and it was appreciated so you don’t need to bring everything. No issues during stay.
Great house.
Exactly what was stated.
Nice and clean.
Only negative was we could not find an easy way to get on the side x side trails without going down the pavement and about 14 miles.
My wife and I along with our adult daughter, my parents, and mother-in-law enjoyed a nice October weekend here to check out the area and to celebrate my wife's birthday. Property was as advertised. The house is very roomy and spacious and a nice choice for a larger group. It is an older building with a lot of history and character currently being renovated and just recently being made available for rental. Large wooded parcel offers nice privacy.
Location is excellant to check out the penninsula from Copper Harbor down to Houghton with access to Lake Superior a mile away.
The owner is very friendly and we enjoyed hearing plans for the property improvements as renovations continue.
This is a large house that easily accommodates a large family which was perfect for our son’s graduation weekend. The beds were very comfortable and the inside of the house was clean, The kitchen was well stocked and we were able to make a nice dinner to celebrate after his graduation. The property itself was quite muddy due to the spring thaw, but its location near Lake Superior was nice to be able to drive down to the waterworks park for sunset viewing. There is a recreation type room in half of the house that looks like it was a former bar/restaurant that seemed to have interesting history but was unheated and we did not end up using it. We would’ve liked to have known more about it. Overall this space worked well for our group.
The property is very nice, well located. It was raining when we arrived and there was no sidewalk to the front door, so it was a little muddy. Best to come in the back door where there is a sidewalk, but the keys don't open the back door, so you have to walk through the house. The only real issue is the upstairs shower. The bottom of the tub is not flat and the mat does not help, it just gets squished into the middle. The downstairs shower is fine. We all had a good time.
My family of four plus our dog Koby stayed the weekend at this beautiful cozy home like cottage. We are grateful they accepted our last minute booking(night before our stay)!Upon arrival it was very clean and equipped with everything you could need for your stay! We loved the cabin wood decor. The home had plenty of space and the yard was perfect for my dog to play ball and get tired after a few throws! We spent the weekend sight seeing waterfalls in the area and visiting Calumet water works park and trail. The beach is close to home and beautiful! During the evenings our kids and my husband drove their quads/dirt bikes around riding into the sunset. We had a fire and my husband spent some time fishing the two ponds. We enjoyed our stay very peaceful, plenty of room and hosts even greeted us to make sure we had everything we needed! Would recommend this place! The upper penninsula is beautiful and we had a relaxing vacation! Thanks again for letting us stay at your beautiful home!
The host was fantastic and the bar is super fun !!!

Cross-country ski trip
The house was the perfect size for our group of cross-country skiers, and the location was great. Directions to the house were good. The bedrooms are nice sized and comfortable.
Excellent location for downtown. Plenty of parking. Very nice early 1900 rental. Very comfortable bed. A few good breakfast places within a few blocks. Professional management.. Would stay here again.

Family time!
This is a great place to have extended family stay and explore the Keweenaw area! Lots of bedrooms and the game room/old bar were a bonus! There was a glitch at the beginning of our stay but the host was very responsive and everything was able to be worked out! Will definitely keep this as our first choice when we return for another visit!
We could feel the natural air conditioning from Lake Superior as it was visible from the road. This house has an outdoor sauna that we enjoyed and 5 bedrooms with AC in each room
