Villa des Jardins: a new, modern villa near the beach and amenities @ Côte d'Argent

Villa das Hortas is a detached home, built and furnished in a modern, minimalist style and equipped with every comfort and luxury.

On the ground floor, there is a double bedroom connected to a bathroom. There is also a fully equipped kitchen with a 4-burner induction cooktop, oven, microwave, fridge-freezer combo, coffee maker, toaster, blender, dishwasher, and washing machine. The L-shaped living room features a dining and lounge area, as well as a reading nook. The lounge area is equipped with a smart TV with internet streaming capabilities and a TV connection offering TV-Vlaanderen and MEO. Wi-Fi is also available.

The ground floor features two additional bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. One bedroom has a double bed, and the other has two bunk beds. For the little ones, a travel cot and a high chair are available.

All of this makes the villa ideal for a stay of up to 8 people (adults and teens), with the option to accommodate an additional baby, toddler, or preschooler.

All beds are equipped with very sturdy box-spring mattresses to ensure a good night’s sleep. There are also three spacious terraces upstairs, two of which are furnished with outdoor furniture. The terrace surrounding the villa features a heated pool (27°C, June through September) with a safety cover, a lounge area, a BBQ area, an outdoor dining area, and patio furniture. Since the villa has a ground-floor bedroom and bathroom, it has limited accessibility for wheelchair users.

Villa das Hortas is located in a small condominium of four similar homes on a quiet street in the lower part of Salir do Porto. This village, with approximately 800 residents, is situated on the shell-shaped bay of São Martinho do Porto, on Portugal’s Silver Coast. Salir do Porto has several small, fine-sand beaches located on a spur of the bay where it’s pleasant to relax, and which are within walking distance of the villa (+/- 15'). The bay itself is also accessible on foot via the seawall or boardwalks, as well as the bay’s beach (about 17 minutes). The waves and tides in the bay and its inlets are very calm, making it a safe destination for families with children. Salir do Porto has a mini-market, restaurants, and cafés that are easily accessible on foot, just a 5- to 10-minute walk away. São Martinho do Porto is also easily accessible on foot, by bike, or by car. There, you’ll find plenty of restaurants, bars, and shopping options. Lisbon is approximately 90 km from the villa, or a 50–60-minute drive. The trip to and from the airport is smooth via the A8 highway.

Salir do Porto is also ideally situated as a base for further exploration of the Silver Coast with its hidden gems (Foz do Arelho, Óbidos, Nazaré, Caldas da Rainha, Alcobaça, ...) and for a day trip to bustling Lisbon. By scheduling Tuesday as the changeover day, you can perfectly combine your stay here with a weekend stay in Lisbon.

The villa is managed by a property manager based in Foz do Arelho who is available 24/7. They speak Dutch, French, English, and Portuguese.
