This was the second time I'd stayed at this hotel which is perfectly situated to break up the trip from the Ferry Terminals at Bilbao and Santander to my holiday home on the Costa Blanca. The hotel is excellent with large clean air conditioned rooms, pleasant public areas and a good restaurant. The staff are friendly and helpful and there is secure underground parking available for a nominal fee. I will definitely return to this hotel if I make this trip again.
We used the hotel as a stopover to Bilbao ferry crossing. It is ideally situated when travelling to or from the Costa Blanca. Menu Del Dia was great value at €12.95 including wine and coffee.
Found the hotel easily were able to check in a bit earlier than time stated. We ate our evening meal in the hotel which was incredible value and very good quality. The breakfast offered was substantial with a wide range of choices I would definitely stay here again if going that route.
When we arrived and tried to book a table for dinner we were told to talk to the restaurant staff who said that there was function that evening and there were no tables available. We complained at reception who said that they could not help us. There was a disconnect between reception and the restaturant staff.
I asked if we could have food in the
bar area and were told that this was booked also. Then I asked if we could have food in our room and they said no.
It was pouring with rain outside so we could not wander around the town looking for somewhere. We ended up with two packets of crisps for our dinner.
After a long drive it was not a good way to spend the evening.
We would never go back to rhis hotel.
A very poor way to treat guests.

Disliked: Staff & service
an unhappy stay
Excessive heat in our room and the decor was depressing. We ordered a snack from a menu of pitza or burger! However the spanish clients were offered various othersuggestions. In morning having the worst breakfast ever we asked if we could have the sound turned down on the tv which was blaring. Yes that happened but with attitude and a scowl
