Short but sweet stay
We stayed for 4 nights, and it was wonderful. Very quiet, just far enough off the beaten track. Charming little steam train along the bottom of the garden once a day. Accommodation very clean and welcoming.

Fantastic!
The house is beautiful, secluded, with stunning views. Only a 10 minute walk into the village, with Porthmadog a 15 minute drive away. The owners are fabulous and the house has everything and more that you could need. We had a great week (despite the rain) and will definitely return.

Absolutely brilliant, the location is surrounded by nature but only a 10 minute walk to the village shops & pubs. Really comfy bed, well equipped kitchen, modern and spotlessly clean. Would highly recommend and will be booking another trip in future

Absolutely beautiful house and stunning views
On the drive up to the property the views were breathtaking, the views of Snowdon and the Menai strait are difficult to describe in their beauty. The instructions given by the hosts were clear and we found the property with ease. The cottage is just as described, the photos on here are very true to the image in person. The 2 bedrooms were light and clean with plenty of space in both. The 2 bathrooms were clean and modern with fresh towels and hand soap provided. It is clear that this has been modernised with eyes to detail as the kitchen and living space were elegantly decorated. The gift basket and treats for our daughter upon arrival were thoughtful and indicative of Garth and Llinos hosting style. The train traveling past the cottage was a lovely event and the views are indescribable! The photos on here really don’t do justice to the gorgeous setting in which Derwen Fach sits. The sound of the babbling brook can be heard and it just adds to the tranquility of the setting. I have tried my hardest to describe the indescribable in this review but it can only be believed when seen with your own eyes. If you are considering this cottage as a holiday stay I would give you this advice, do it! You will not regret staying at Derwen Fach, we cannot wait to visit again!

This property lived up to all expectations. The decor, furniture and all equipment was of the highest standard. There was no aspect of the description which was exaggerated. The setting was extremely secluded and private. There are no near neighbours. This is a highly recommended destination in the heart of amazing countryside.

A perfect base to explore Snowdonia National Park.
Absolutely loved our stay in Derwen Fach. It’s a beautiful, modern barn conversation that has everything you need as a base for exploring all that the Snowdonia National Park has to offer. Amazing views from the living room, a cracking log burner to keep you toasty on colder nights, and great communication (and welcome pack) from our hosts. We would definitely stay again!

Fabulous holiday home near Beddgelert
We can’t say enough good things about Derwen Fach. The quality of this cottage and furnishings was a delight, a really beautiful conversion and spotlessly clean. The location is spectacular yet walking distance if Beddgelert. The generous welcome basket included thoughtful things for our teenage children, who are not too old to appreciate hallowe’en sweets and chocolates 🙂. Friendly, responsive hosts too, all just lovely.

Beautiful modern cottage in stunning location
Derwen Fach is a beautiful cottage barm conversion and is kitted out with very modern appliances, and comfy beds upstairs and down. The cottage was very warm but if it got a tad chilly it has a nice wood burning stove to take the edge of off. It's nestled right in the middle of a loop of the Welsh Highland railway and we enjoyed watching the trains go by with a cup of coffee on the patio with a stunning backdrop of the mountains in the distance. Despite not being in view behind a hill - the cottage is a mere 10 minute walk from the centre of Beddgelert where we enjoyed meals in the Tanronnin Inn or having a takeaway pizza from Glaslyn Pizzeria. There are many walks available immediately from the cottage such as up Moel Hebog or along the Aberglaslyn Pass. The host Gareth was very welcoming and answered all our questions - and had left a delightful little welcoming pack of some Welsh goodies on our arrival. We had a fantastic time, despite the mixed weather and would certainly book here again.

Lovely inside and out!
Breathtaking view with joy of waving at the steam train each day. Very nice interior. Downstairs bedroom has comfortable for an adult twin beds. Bathroom next to it with large walk-in shower. Upstairs bedroom has double (maybe queen--I don't know) bed with sitting room and nice ensuite with shower. No tub. Kitchen is nice with under the counter dishwasher, refrigerator --and nicest surprise--large separate freezer. My daughter and I really enjoyed our stay. Beddgelert is within reasonable driving distance of many north Wales attractions. We visited several castles, and beaches. We enjoyed strolling the nearby trails. This was truly a perfect holiday.

A little piece of heaven on earth!
We toured UK for two weeks and stayed in several places but this property was the most welcoming and inviting. After staying in London for few days, this place was our sanctuary as it is located perfectly on the foothills of Moel Hebog. We would like to go back and stay longer one of these days! It's the perfect place to stay! Period. Gareth visited us one night and we thought that was special. Thank you, Gareth and Llinos.

Lovely holiday
A really lovely week. The location of the cottage is amazing. I would say it looks better in real life than in the photos. Accommodation was really nice, couldn't fault it. Really great walks from the doorstep. Short drive to Snowdon. Short walk into the village where there are pubs/shop etc and the walk by the river was beautiful. Would easily go back again. We would highly recommend this property.
