Slightly disappointing
The main disappointment was that the pool was closed and only 8 sunbeds available. This had been important for us when booking this hotel and we had had no prior warning. Some of the furniture seemed rather tired. The staff are good and the location very convenient for Gibraltar.

You get what you pay for
Mediocre hotel on all levels. Breakfast was disappointing but staff were friendly. Hotel is in dire need of an upgrade - especially the gym with its broken equipment and no AC or a fan in there! Good thing that our stay was not expensive!

All was great except the pool opening hours were noon till 8pm. I like to swim laps early so did not suit me .

Been to this hotel before in summer and it seems like a completely different hotel lets start off with the room, they seemed very neglected definitely needed a bit of tlc Pool is seasonal, which could be amended instead of may maybe April considering how hot it gets where they are based. Food was absolutely awful, they claim its a buffet but its 5 dishes in which u had to choose from all tasting awful, desserts looked lovely but again horrible taste to everything i tried... even the melon seemed to have been cut either by a knife that had previously cut onions or a chopping bored that had onions... overall catering needs an inspection, if melon tasted like onion then there is definitely a risk of cross contamination with other food. Due to my son being extremely poorly through the evening i had to check out early, staff werent the least bit concerned as to why someone would check out at 10:30pm, but hey. Overall got mixed feeling about this place, although food wasnt great during the summer either the hotel in itself seemed nicer so to conclude the review if you do want to visit this hotel... best keep it till summer.

It takes more than a marble reception to make a 4star hotel. Excellent friendly and helpful staff. Initial appearance good. Nice pool area and gardens, but strange rules about not using the pool until 12 noon, though not enforced. Facilities good, but no tea or coffee facility in rooms and some fittings getting tired,(sink plug missing, bathtub worn and cracked, failed bulb in bathroom). Below average breakfast at an above average price. Overall a reasonable stay and would use again due to suitable location for me and I booked at a good price.

Very lovely stay
A little difficult to fine but well Worth the effort. Lovely grounds with a very nice pool. Spa was out of order so a that was a little disappointing ( but that is just the way it goes sometimes). Marian was great worth The check in and the breakfast was extra but nice for the price

Reception staff were excellent and responsive, but rooms were basic with limited amenities & just the one English speaking TV channel. I was also asked to pay 9 euros to use the sauna! Put me off even paying the gym a visit.

The rooms are clean and good size if a little dated, the pool is welcoming and well kept. The menu contains very little local food, such a shame as the cáñales at the wedding we attended were excellent. Staff were friendly and helpful, with the exception of I assume the manager who seemed to have a permanent scowl

take a flask !!
i was very pleased when i entered the hotel as it is much more impressive inside than out. the room was great with balcony overlooking well kept grounds and pool. room service had to be reminded of my order after 30 mins. the standard of the restaurant was generally fine the a la carte better than the buffet and not to expensive. i did not like paying 10 euros for the breakfast buffet when all i wanted was tea & juice. there was no other way of having an early morning drink (no room service before midday). i would stay again now that i know the problems and could deal with them.

A brief layover
We just stayed one night on our way from Seville to Tangier, but it was a very pleasant night. The room was spacious and comfortable, the staff were pleasant and helpful, and the pool was lovely. We ate dinner in the restaurant, which was very tasty. A great stay.

Very convenient to get to. Easy and ample parking. Breakfast pretty good. Room spacious and lighting OK. WiFi free but requires that you give your name and email to vendor. So I didn’t use. Would be a problem for a stay longer than one night. Bathroom large with bidet. Has an in room safe which was nice.

Hotel with soul
Beautiful hotel with soul. It is classy, but a little dated. Room was large and clean. Lots of complimentary soaps, cremes, slippers, etc. Hotel is near to a shopping center, but along the highway, consequently not accessible by foot. The shower was great, towels nice and thick. I would stay again

Decent enough for the price paid but the property is outdated, small beds and noise from the freeway. If you're expecting a five star experience this is not it but it's decent enough. Parking was available which was a sell for us.

Pleasant surprise

Great location if you are visiting Gibraltar.
The hotel was in a great location for a road trip in which you are visiting Gibraltar. It isn't near much, but it's alongside the highway. The room was clean, the staff were friendly, and the parking is free.

I found it very easily and I could travel from there to different destinations. It was always pleasant to come back to the nice pool and restaurant at the end of the day. There is a very nice restaurant on the doorstep..

Staffed said nothing was within waking distance. 5 min walk we found 2 bars that sound lovely food. The area doesn't warrant the price of the hotel. Built up industrial area, smell of sewage, loads of flies. Free non-alcohol mini bar not restocked, we ask 3 times one day and still didn't get anything not even water. And my British ethics of queuing are no more, they saw me waiting and still let people push in, and that was before I asked about mini bar. Very rude.

I booked 7 rooms as we were attending a wedding,, and staying the night,, no way is this hotel 4 star rating... My bedroom in big need of a revamp. The bed cover had a massive stain which put me of totally, and that was on first impression arrival. The balcony onto the garden had cobwebs. Deff a no no,, even as we stayed because of the wedding.

Lovely hotel
A bit disappointed at first as hotel room was advertised as having a balcony and our room didn't. We were offered a balcony room the next day which had a lovely view of the gardens. Pool was lovely and plenty of sun beds available. Breakfast was a good selection and staff were all polite & helpful.
