Beautiful, Cedar Lakeside Cabin with Private Dock

Come enjoy the peaceful beauty of our family's lakeside retreat home on the peaceful Little River cove on Lake Barkley! Our beautiful cedar cabin is the perfect place to spend time with friends and family, whether you're grilling, swimming, fishing, boating, relaxing, playing games, or sharing stories.

Although a picture is worth a thousand words, photos almost can't do this house justice! Our house has hardwood floors throughout with 3 bedrooms & 2 bathrooms. The master bedroom has a queen canopy bed with custom-made designer bedding, and an amazing view of the lake to wake up to. The second bedroom also has a queen sized bed with a beautiful lake view, while the 3rd bedroom is equipped with two sets of bunkbeds (one has a full bed on the bottom, and a trundle underneath). The main bedrooms have lake views and doors opening onto the deck. The fully-equipped kitchen contains counter top seating, a kitchen and larger dining table, and stainless-steel appliances. The living room has a huge, modern sectional couch with huge windows and an amazing view of the lake!

Step outside to the huge deck, to enjoy the lake view, sunset over the lake, or a view of the night sky, or BBQ with our gas grill. Take an easy stroll across our gentle slopping lawn to the private dock and take a dip in the lake, fish, just relax and watch the boats go by, or dock your own boat. Please note we do allow hypoallergenic dogs for a $250 pet fee. Please click the box for pet when making your reservation.

Great to relax!

Several family members from different states used this place as our hub while having a funeral for our mother. It was so peaceful and relaxing in a difficult time. Accomodations great. My favorite part was all the "noise"....nothing but soft breezes! Perfect place for redlection and memorie! Thank you. We will be back!

Comfy with a View

We booked on short notice for a one day stay. Beautiful location. Comfy beds with plenty of space to spread out. Clean bathrooms. Things were easy to find in the kitchen. We made use of the washer & dryer. Absolutely loved the back deck view and dock.

Beautiful property, amazing host

We celebrated Thanksgiving together on the lake in this beautiful property. This property has everything you need! Quiet location, beautiful views, and lots of room for the children to run around and play outside. Plenty of parking. We can’t wait to come together again and stay here!

Paradise by the Lake

As other reviewers have said, the property is even better than the pictures show. My family and my brother's family stayed here as a jumping off point to see the 2024 eclipse. We already want to come back. The house is perfectly set up with comfortable rooms and a great gathering area. The property is incredible with a huge, private outdoor space and fantastic waterfront. Loved every minute here!

Two family meet up. Space to spread out

This location was a perfect half way point to meet up with friends. The house was a nice space to spread out. The yard was spacious. The lake was low, but still nice view. It was perfect for what we needed and we had a nice quiet New Year Celebration. We had a few issues, but the host responded quickly.

Peaceful lake house

The property was as stated/shown.....other than the back yard is actually much larger than it appears in the listing. House was nice and well stocked....could use some new pillows. Location was fantastic and our dogs had a great time in the yard. Lots of critters around, lots of birds. Eagles herons etc. We took a hummingbird feeder with us and enjoyed the show. Overall, very nice and peaceful place. Owners nice and easy to work with. If you're looking for a quiet, laid-back trip, I'd highly recommend this house.

Family Vacation

We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home. All amenities were handy and clean. Easy to find, plenty of parking. Each morning we saw at least 4 deer. Plenty of wildlife ranging from deer, ground hogs, wild geese, and the neighbors chickens. Minutes from the Lake Barkley beach, and the Bison/Elk prairie. A dollar store and gas station close by for last minute snacks, bait, and supplies. We enjoyed the grill and back deck. We all caught fish: blue gill, and cat fish. We would love to come back when the crappie are hot. Thanks for sharing your home with us. The Atwood’s.

Beautiful Home!!!!

My family was looking for a place to stay for a long weekend. The Lake Barkley house did not disappoint us. It was exactly like the pictures , but better!!!! The neighborhood is quiet and the house boasts all the comforts of home. We rented a boat from Lake Barkley Marina for a day. Then another day went to the State Park Nature Station. I would suggest water shoes for swimming off the deck due to the muddy bottom. But we loved fishing and swimming off the dock. Also, if you love deer, don't be surprised to find them roaming in the backyard. There is a food store close to the house, in Cadiz, if you need to stop for groceries. Loved our stay!!!!

Location & Views

The property is sprawling and beautiful. The house, itself, could use some updating. Not the place to watch TV-family room tv is small for the space. The patio is in rough shape and grill and accessories were dirty. The outdoor ceiling fan/light was covered in cobwebs. Not sure if owners knew ahead of time, but the water was only about 2 feet deep. I didn’t think to research as I am not a lane person and assumed you could swim. However! Teresa the owner was wonderful! And if you are looking for a quiet, rustic getaway you could not ask fur better hosts.

Great view, nice and secluded, very peaceful! Exactly what we were looking for. The only thing we could say wasn’t great was the water level being as low as it was, but Mother Nature doesn’t always cooperate. Would definitely recommend and book again!

We loved the cabin and the property! We rented a pontoon and were able to park it at the dock for breaks throughout our day boating. The beds were comfortable and I loved how stocked the kitchen was with utensils and supplies. We would definitely come back! The hostess was great as well!

We had a very nice visit. Property managers were easy to talk to. We sadly, we’re not able to use the dock as the lake was too shallow currently. Overall, we had a really nice stay.
