This is an economical Marriott, very good deal. Breakfast was great. Complementary items are a very nice touch. Found it annoying though that the room temp can’t exceed 21.5oC, other than that was perfect. It’s misleading to say it has a pool, pool is closed.

11 night stay for New Year
Initally allocated room 320 which has a very small balcony and only 1 chair and was also noisy due to air conditioning unit in room 318. As we were staying for 11 nights we asked to move room but had to wait 4 nights as there was limited room availability due to unadvised renovation work in the hotel. However once moved everything was ok and we enjoyed our stay. The addition of a coffee maker in the room was much appreciated. We have stayed many times and will return and would recommend to others. Television in room says that it has CNN and BBC world news but unable to view either channel.

No airport transfer service
Booked as an overnight stay before a flight the next morning from Gibraltar airport. On check in was advised that there was no airport transfer service despite what it said on my booking confirmation. Disappointing to be misinformed but not really a problem as it was only a 5 minute taxi ride or 20 minute walk. That aside, the room was spacious and very clean. the bed was comfy and there was a lovely view from the balcony. Minibar was well stocked but would have liked a kettle and tea/coffee making facilities. We would definitely use again.

Hotel staff very helpful and friendly. Good location for Gibraltar, 5 euro taxi ride to border. No restaurants nearby, food in hotel limited dinner menu, quite expensive. Good breakfast. Bathrooms need updating.

Reception staff were great. Great pantry facility at restaurant - drinks/snacks/sandwiches. Beds were comfy. Tv in strange position but generally a good sized room.

The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable, however the Aircon leaked and there was a drip throughout the entire night. Luckily, I'm a heavy sleeper and didn't ask to switch rooms because I got in so late and just wanted to shower and sleep. However, the floor was wet where it leaked right in front of the bathroom door, and I had to throw 2 towels down to absorb the water.

Provided no coffee at 10:30 am. Front desk woman sent me on a wild goose chase through sketchy area. Why no coffee available? Every hotel in the world serves coffee except Marriott.

hotel was ok, but had issues with the water that we couldn't drink. asked front desk to send someone to fix fridge and fix screw sticking up on bathroom floor but nobody was told about problems, had to ask again the next day. When maintenance was told they fixed promptly

The room was large and comfortable. It had a nice view of the harbour and the Rock of Gibraltar. We bought water from the local shop as we were advised by hotel staff not to drink the tap water.

Property seemed run down. Air conditioning didn’t work, strange smell in the room, and overall didn’t feel clean. Friendly people and lobby and breakfast were good. Parking was convenient and affordable

A week long stay
The hotel is within walking distance of Gibraltar border. We had a lovely welcome from an English speaking receptionist. Our room was spacious and cleaned everyday by friendly staff. The shower area was showing a little bit of wear and tear and could do with an update. Excellent restaurant. Breakfast was satisfactory but not brilliant. All staff were very friendly. Would be more than happy to stay again

If you go to Gib, stay here is cheaper than Gib.
The lady at the front desk , her name was Sandra . She was very sweet and helpful . The hotel wasn’t really but it was better to pay this rate here than the Holliday In express in Gibraltar… which is horrible and almost double the money. So, if you want to go To Gib and don’t want to spend a fortune, stay here in La Linea.. and cross the border by foot( everything in Gin is much more expensive!)

The hotel was clean and my room was located on the second floor. My intent on this trip was to visit Gibraltar. The hotel was less than 1.5 miles from the passport control, which was an easy walk for me. The hotel is near a lot of dining options. There is also a convenience store on the back on the same building. I enjoyed my short stay in La Linea at AC Hotel. Oh it’s also 1 mile from the bus station which I used to get to La Linea.

Very basic amenities for 3star hotel. Bed hard and uncomfortable, overall condition of hotel tired looking. Horrified to find cockroach trap in the bathroom, with a cockroach in it, and we were on the 3rd floor !

Easy check in late at night with a friendly staff member. The room was clean, but tired. Paint peeling in the bathrrom and generally in need of a refresh. We were only there for one night so didn't get chance to see the facilities or eat in the restaurant. Parking is great though with very narrow spaces!
