Woodward Lake Sanctuary offers a peaceful, tranquil setting abundant in water fowl (geese, ducks, heron, loons, cranes) perfect for kayaking, breathtaking sunrise/sunset, yet minutes away from downtown Cadillac, Lake Cadillac and Lake Mitchell, biking, hiking, snowmobile trails, ski resorts, golf courses, restaurants, and winery. A 40-minute drive to Traverse City offers Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes, annual Cherry Festival, restaurants, and local theatre entertainment.

This home away from home offers the comforts and amenities in a cozy, warm eco-friendly setting for relaxation, decompression, and an opportunity to enjoy quality time with family and friends. A selection of coffee, tea, spices, and essential cookware for meal preparation is available, Wi-Fi and Smart TV for indoor entertainment, and two kayaks, a 12’ aluminum rowboat, propane and charcoal grills, and fire pit for outdoor entertainment.

The home was clean and comfortable. Beautiful views of the lake, close to restaurants, businesses in Cadillac. The host was very friendly and had fresh flowers for us when we arrived. Has everything we needed for our weekend trip.

Peaceful Location

We enjoyed our long weekend on at the house on the lake. It was peaceful and we had a bonfire each night. Lake was not busy and quiet.

relaxing cottage

very nice stay. clean-nice touches with chocolates on towels. everything we needed was there, near towns, but quite at the lake. needed to fix one recliner that didnt work, but not a big deal. great for our girls birthday trip.

Nice vacation property

We just loved our stay and plan to return next year!! The property on the lake was peaceful and relaxing. I loved kayaking and going out on the boat. The property owner communicates regularly and we had everything we needed to have a great time.

Great get away spot!

This is the second time staying here and we really liked it. Bonfires by the lake at night and fishing the many lakes in the area were highlights for us. The place is clean, the view is beautiful, and the Wi-Fi has been updated to a faster speed, which helped entertain us on the day we got rained out. We plan to stay here again next year!

Wonderful, quiet lakeside getaway! More than a “cabin” really, which can accommodate 5 people with 1.5 bathrooms. All of the amenities - kitchen, bath, bedrooms, and outdoors (grill, fire pit, kayaks, rowboat) - included!

Ladies trip

The place was very cute. It had a lot of extras, toilet paper, body soap, trash bags, kayaks, and fire pit ready to go. Downside is the road noise and only one towel per guest.

Peaceful with a great view

The back porch made my vacation! There is a small screened in back porch that is perfect for a cup of coffee, a stack of books and a view of the lake. I didn't need much more than that.

We absolutely loved this property! It was the cleanest place we have ever stayed! All the essentials were there and organized in a very uncluttered manner. We really liked having the space to actually store our belongings/food. Made us feel like we were home! We appreciated the kayaks & firewood.

Woodward Lake vacation

We truly love the entire stay. Incredibly well kept home, nice & well kept property. We are seriously wanting to come back for a week this coming summer if there is an availability. Better than we expected

Place was very nice and clean inside. Bring your clothes, toiletries, and food and your pretty much set. Everything you need is there... amenities were beyond impressive. We had a nice time in the nearby state park and grilling by the firepit while relaxing watching wildlife in/around the lake. Thank you very much for sharing your property with us.
