"The room was clean, spacious and had everything we needed for cooking our own meals. Lovely balcony area. Very friendly staff. Great area in a stunningly beautiful city. "

"Our second stay at La Prison... and it was just as good as the first! This time we had very comfortable twin beds, which meant we could look out of the window at the view...and what a view! Great sunset both evenings! Didn't eat at the bistro as we had other places we wanted to eat at, but did have breakfast. Plenty of choice. Only niggle was the fruit juice was very sweet. The place is quirky, it's a little out of the way, but we would (and will) stay there again. Only negative... they promote the use of bicycles, but couldn't help us with hiring a bike."

"Staff were positive and friendly however we had a burnt out lightbulb which didn’t get replaced. Lights in the lounge at night are low wattage and the lounge is poorly lit making reading difficult. Having said that - would we stay there again? Yes. Very handy to the village."

"One night stop over. Restaurant was excellent. Room was tired, and bathroom had dark mould on the ceiling. Was bed was very comfortable. We understand the hotel is under refurbishment, and our room was one still waiting to be done. "

"The rooms are tiny with no window. Ok for an overnight roadside stay but nothing more. "

"It was a good place to stay for a night before a morning flight. Lovely pool and the staff were all very nice. Clean and well kept. Food in the restaurant was not so good though as no was expensive. I also hated the paper cups in the bathroom that kind of disintegrated. Tea and coffee facilities in the room would have been great."
