"Our family of 12 stayed at the Villa for 5 days. We’ve traveled abroad every year for many years, and we’ve had multiple family vacations. This was indeed the most amazing and wonderful family vacation we’ve ever had. The overall setting of Castillo del Mar is spectacular! The view of the ocean is inspiring, with the sound of the waves lulling us into a sense of utter relaxation. The pool is one of the most beautiful we’ve ever seen. The bedrooms can best be described as luxurious. Each of the multiple areas at which we enjoyed our meals was more beautiful than the other. We ate poolside, as well as on a balcony overlooking the pool and the ocean. Peggy, the property manager, was superb. She took care of everything—seemingly effortlessly, and always with a smile. Peggy also arranged each night for us to have a glorious full moon looking down on us, lighting a path across the ocean. It was inspirational! Diali, the concierge, was also excellent--always pleasant and always able to accommodate our needs. The meals were carefully prepared and flavorful. We can’t emphasize too much how wonderful Peggy and her staff were, making this one of the most wonderful family vacations we’ve ever had. We’re hoping to return with our family next year.
