The Vale offers a Retreat to get away from the busy life: A truly Magnificent established 50 acre cattle farm in the Byron Shire, 10 mins from the ocean. A special place for your family to be together without all the city distractions; a place to share time with other families; or for good friends to enjoy company together in the beautiful Northern Rivers. There is no reason to leave if you don't want to. Relax on the dam pontoon during the day, settle in on the swings with a chamapagne in the evening, or the 6 person luxury spa/hot tub under the wisteria pavilion, and sit around the sandstone fire pit by night. Baby-sitting, Massages & Facials can be organized with prior notice. Approved FarmStay by Byron Shire Council (DA10:2017:715.1) and 4 bedroom B&B (CDC:2022/116.1). Contact the owner for discounts.

LOCATION: The farm is less than 10 mins to several beaches; 8 mins to major shopping centre; 20 mins to Byron Bay; 12mins to Brunswick Heads; 25mins to Bangalow; and 30 mins from Coolangatta & Ballina Airports. The farm is 5 minutes from the M1.

The VALE is a perfect location to get away from all the stress and bustle of City life and enjoy the tranquility and peace of the rural lifestyle; though close enough to shops, many wonderful restaurants and the varied cultural aspects of the Byron Shire. This property has been designed with a French Provincial influence in a rural Australian setting. The gardens are mostly Australian natives attracting a wonderful selection of local birds. Kookaburras will most likely wake you in the morning with the sound of many bird varieties during the day; with the added gentle sounds from chickens, ducks and cattle. Enjoy the heated hot tub, play games on the lawn or or laze around the 1.2km of natural creek.

BEDROOMS: For your comfort, all bedrooms and living spaces are fully air-conditioned (and heated) with individual settings for personal needs. The farm house sleeps a maximum of 8 adults with two extra beds available for young children making 10 in total. 3 x Large King Ensemble Beds + one Queen bed, or one King ensemble can be removed for 2 x single beds if more appropriate for your family needs. I cot is set up in the main bedroom. There is also plenty of space in two of the bedrooms for a port-o-cot or rollaway.

ENTERTAINMENT: There is an extensive video library with a LED LCD Smart 55inch TV with Soundbar. Just walk in the door, connect using bluetooth and you have access to your music, movies and TV shows.
There is a glider swing for the romantics, table tennis, cricket and badminton sets for the athletes, boules for the fun loving; and board games galore. We have Bond 007 Trivial Pursuit, jigsaw puzzles for all ages, cards, UNO and more. There are 2 chess boards and a board game set including checkers, backgammon, snakes & ladders and more. There is no reason to leave the farm.
For the adults, we have a roulette table with blackjack and craps.

LIVING SPACES: There are many different Living Areas. Firstly, there is the large lounge suite seating 8 people comfortably. Outside on the front verandah there is a double BBQ with an outdoor table and modular lounge setting. In the garden there is a marble table with 6 stools and an exquisite white marble horse fountain offering the gentle sound of running water. There is another large outdoor table by the wood fired pizza oven. The Western verandah also offers another private area of seating with a 6 person spa under the wisteria pavilion. Around the fire pit there is further seating. This property provides many different spaces for privacy or social gatherings.

LARGE MODERN KITCHEN: The kitchen has a Miele dish washer and a country Euromaid 5 burner gas oven with 3 separate ovens. For those rainy days, there is a double Zeigler & Brown gas BBQ on the verandah. There is also a fire pit for simple BBQ cooking and of course the wood fired pizza oven. Wood can be purchased on site or BYO. One never has to leave the property with the choice of cooking facilities - all of an extremely high standard.

RUNNING CREEK & DAM: There is a large spring fed dam with a beautiful natural tropical backdrop. A hardwood pontoon allows easy access to the water, though seasonal depending on recent rain. Please check with the caretaker before jumping in. There is absolute privacy, no one can see you lounging or swimming. The property also includes a beautiful seasonal running creek with several swimming holes, all with a stone base which is perfect for lazing around on a hot summers day. The creek is a few minutes walk from the farm house. We recommend you wear a pair of old joggers or reef shoes when swimming as the creek is home to various native fish and other local animals. It is common to see perch, some platypus if you are very quiet, even an echidna or two as you walk through the paddocks. The use of the dam and creek is dependent on the recent rainfall.

LAUNDRY: The laundry has a washing machine and dryer of the latest Miele products (WKG130 + TKB450) with detergent provided.

Grocery Delivery & Vegetable Garden: Coles online can deliver your groceries to the door, so plan ahead and your order can arrive at the farm as you do. For guests staying more than a week we offer to pack away your groceries in the cupboards and fridge if your delivery is just prior to your arrival. We also have an organic vegetable garden suppling some fresh fruit and vegetables in season including some fresh eggs from our own chickens. There is also an extensive herb garden available for your use.

PETS: Your family pet is welcome provided they do not interfere with the livestock or cause any problems. All pets must be pre-approved by the owner. The house area is fully fenced with both paddock fencing and an overlay of dog fencing. Pets are welcomed in the home, though not permitted on any furniture including beds. A quality tick and flea medication is absolutely required to ensure their health and prevent flea or parasite problems on the property.

CARETAKER: The property has full time caretakers who manage the farm, so if you have concerns with using the many items available, they are there to assist. They reside about 70m from the homestead in their private residence that offers privacy to the caretaker and the homestead.

Incredible Farm Stay
We had the most amazing time at The Vale. From the most stunning views, relaxing in the spa and watching the sunset, to feeding the chickens and collecting farm fresh eggs for breakfast each morning. Our 4 kids never had a dull moment, this stay suited our family of 6 & 2 dogs very well. Everyone had an absolute ball, we’ll definitely be returning in the near future. Elizabeth was a fantastic host and greeted us upon arrival, so we definitely felt comfortable and at home for our 3 night stay. Thank you for such a memorable stay!

Farmstay Getaway Paradise!
We had an amazing stay at The Vale Farmstay. The property is immaculately situated, furnished and cared for. The owners and caretakers were kind and considerate. The amenities, overall peace and resulting relaxation were just perfect. With multiple adults, a baby and two dogs, there was plenty of room both within the house and outside, plenty of activities and pristine areas to explore keeping us all happy and as busy as we wanted. This is most definitely somewhere we would stay again and want to extend our warmest thanks to the property hosts for having us enjoy our time there ❤️.

Beautiful Family Farm stay
We had the most wonderful experience at Elizabeth’s beautiful farm property. The house itself is very lovely and was clean and had everything we needed. Exceptional from the moment we booked this beautiful property. Elizabeth, the host, is such a lovely person and was wonderful to talk to and our kids loved her. There are no words to describe the beauty of her farm (whatever the weather it is so private and the outlook so picturesque) and the farmhouse is wonderful and so well stocked, you feel right at home. Instantly felt relaxed and like we had entered our own paradise. We really appreciated all the nice touches that made our stay extra special. Kids will miss the little calves and chicks.
