Great environment for traveling solo!
I had a great stay at Aquarius. I upgraded to the studio room which was a loft style private room which was very nice. Both staff and the other lodgers were incredibly social. I participated in the 4:45am lighthouse tour and the ping pong tournament both of which were really well attended (and free!) Traveling solo it was awesome to meet some new people at the hostel!

Unfortunately a lot of the parking area was closed for the one night I was there, so had to park on the street and feed a meter until 6pm as it was only one hour parking. The info on the place stated no noise after 11.00pm, but I heard yelling and screaming regularly throughout the night, mostly from the girls who were probably "over refreshed" from the bar or coming back from a night out! Granted, I'm in my 60s and probably don't cope with that too well nowadays. It was deathly silent in the morning at 7am when I got up, and no wonder! Still, a nice enough place with lovely staff and facilities

Hi there Steve! Thank you for your honest feedback. It is very unfortunate that you were here that night in which we had to close part of the parking lot. We needed the space to trim some branches from the trees next to it and avoid damaging any cars. Regarding the noise, we try our best to make everyone respect the noise curfew but most of the times it's up to the guests' level of cooperation. I hope we can see you again some other time to have a more relaxed experience, cheers!

Fun hostel with a social vibe
Great location, friendly staff, very social hostel. I stayed in a private room which was clean. Very social atmosphere. They hosted game nights and other events which was fun. Only downside is that the walls were a bit thin so you could head noise from people partying.

First time staying in a backpackers. Hope all backpackers are like this! We had a suite room with own bathroom and bed area but the staff were friendly and room was clean, tidy and good amenities.

For $120 per night my room 4a was very good value. The bed was comfy, bathroom was quite large and it had a quirky feel about it that I loved. Also it us will located within a 3 minute stroll to the beach. Also well placed for shops, bars abd restaurants. Great place to stay

Great location and easy check in. Staff were a little unfriendly to my partner when he arrived, and the room was not very clean. The spa was not clean and was unpleasant to use.

Great spot
It was really great. Perfect location near restaurants, cafes and a short walk to the beach. We had a great time. The pool and bar area was awesome, great vibes and friendly staff.

The ceiling fan barely worked so it was incredibly hot trying to sleep, incredibly hot! I ended up getting up and soaking my shirt with water to try and sleep. Super noisy constantly getting woken up by people shouting, even the security shouting that someone spewed in the dorm and he had to clean it up. I am all for partying and having a good time so it’s not really their fault there’s just no soundproofing.

Thanks for your feedback, we apologise for the fan, since your stay it has been replaced and new night security protocol has been put in place regarding noise. As we are in the centre of town it can sometimes be a bit noisy at night but we are doing our best to rectify the issue.

Nice hotel and friendly staff. Sadly the room was damp and not at all good for anyone suffering from asthma or toxic mold allergy’s. I would recommend it to people in good health but sadly for me I have both these health issues and I was unwell from the room having damp and mold inside it. The room was lovely and spacious.

Thanks for your feedback. We are sorry to hear about your allergies, summer can bring on a lot of humidity here which can occasionally create dampness. Please know since your stay we have put new cleaning (specifically treating any sign of mold) procedures in place to ensure this isn't an issue for any future guests.

very good location, but because it is a backpacker stay - it was pretty loud at night. Though would be great for people looking for parties.

Thanks for your great feedback! Because we are right in the centre of town and have a licensed bar onsite it can be a bit noisy until the bar shuts at 11pm. Our night management are always onsite and available to deal with any noise disturbances within the Resort after this time

Very very noisy . I had a private room but I could hear people talking , showering in theirs . It's a backpacker hostel so I expected noise but not this much . I wouldn't stay again. I would pay more elsewhere .

Poor standard compared to other hostels
Room was unclean, bed uncomfortable and shared shower room was damp and mouldy. Noise from bar/terrace til gone 11.30pm. Noise from room above woke us early morning sounded like someone shifting beda around. Very overpriced too glad we only had to stay one night

Great spot and great facilities and services for guests. Staff were great as well. Only one incident with another guest knocking on our door at 3am trying to get to the bathroom. No fault of the venue, which had pretty good security, just annoying.

Thanks for your feedback, we apologise about the noise, as we are in the centre of town the streets can sometimes be a bit noisy. There are thick glass sliding doors in the foyer near your room which lead onto a balcony, these must have been open sorry, when closed it makes a huge difference to the sound.

OK für den Preis aber kein Luxus
Das Zimmer war recht groß und wir hatten eines mit eigenem Bad. Das ganze war allerdings sehr hellhörig. Das Bett war komplett durchgelegen und die Balkontür schloss nur teilweise.
