"If you read various new travel guides you will find nothing good. But that doesn't do Hovden justice, because it was the starting point for many wonderful hikes for us. Our holiday home was excellent with a sauna, which helped us get our muscles functional again. Thanks to the very well equipped kitchen, we were able to cook for ourselves. "My family spent 4 nights at Hovdestøylen over the Easter long weekend. We had a 3-bedroom unit in a wing next to the main hotel that was modern and well equipped. A cross-country ski trail runs right past the hotel, and the downhill ski centre is about a 5 min drive away. Parking can be a little crowded during the après-ski hours but we always managed to find a place. Nice bar area with large screen TV, fireplace and shuffleboard. Very friendly service in the bar/restaurant and at reception."
