"I didn't expect much when I booked but it was better than expected. It's kind of an odd/old building but the place had a decent sized fitness center and the pool area was nice. There is an attached bar/restaurant/bowling alley which all had very reasonable prices and the food was good. The hotel staff had little to say but weren't rude either. The cleaning lady I saw in the hall the following am was very friendly."

"Loved the lodge!! Nice & clean when we arrived, big enough for all of us, easy parking for our cars & boats. Close to the flowage, could hear the loons. Bar room with the foosball & billards was a huge hit. I plan on returning. Hosts are very responsive to all of my questions & concerns, I appreciated that. No locks on the bathrooms made it interesting & pretty funny, maybe signs on the doors that say ‘knock before opening’ to avoid some awkward momentsPlease fix the fire alarms, for safety. Just a heads up, phone service was iffy, like the old days walking around reaching in the air for service.Beautiful place, next time I’d like to visit Mercer more, cute town. We did make it to the ‘loon festival’, great fun."

"We stayed at the lodge for a family vacation: 3 couples and 2 teens. It was perfect! The listing is accurate to a tee. We enjoyed the well-stocked kitchen, firewood, and pontoon rental. The outdoor patio is amazing. Dustin was extremely helpful and very responsive. The lake is absolutely serene with very little activity on it. The Flambeau Forest Inn is a great place for drinks, pizza, and Friday Fish Fry (make reservations!) The bartender remembered our drinks after one visit. The ATV/UTV trail is literally right outside the driveway, beautiful trails. I would highly recommend The Lodge."

"My family and I had a wonderful stay at the Timber Inn! It is clear that the new owners are putting a lot of time and care into the space. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the amenities were thoughtful, and the staff extremely helpful. Would definitely stay here again when we're in the area!"

"We really enjoyed our stay here. Things were nice and clean, and there were many things available that are missing at other places (think kitchen untensils, outdoor supplies....things you might not think to pack, but need!). The location was wonderful, with a great dock. Cast as far as you can to hook into the bigger ones! If we come back to this area, we will definitely be staying here again! I am already missing drinking my coffee while listening to the loons sing."
