Beautiful & peaceful area with minor issues

Our first night there was slightly challenging, but after that things improved. I am not as familiar with VRBO’s layout, so I didn’t realize the home had no AC since it wasn't stated clearly. When we first arrived the house was very hot & stuffy with no quick solution to cool it down. There was one box fan (but that didn’t help much), & there were no ceiling fans. I now understand that since the property is off the grid it doesn’t have the ability to have things like AC & ceiling fans. Plus, we did arrive on a warm day. By the next morning & the rest of our stay though, we were able to keep the house cool & comfortable. Another thing is that it feels like you’re staying in someone’s actual home, as there are many personal belongings & family mementos everywhere. In some aspect it adds to the character, but it could definitely use some decluttering & dusting. BUT, the surrounding area is amazing & incredibly beautiful! It was so peaceful & very private. I was expecting to see people working on the ranch, but we only saw one person the whole time we were there. The bed in the master bedroom was comfy, the rest were not. It was indeed a unique stay for us & very memorable. It has the potential for greatness, with some decluttering and upkeep. Oh, and it doesn't have a microwave. Just something to be aware of. It does have a grill and oven which we used and both worked great.
