Rest for the next day trip.

Our stay was good. However only the following to be addressed. 1. The direction board on the main road to be marked correctly. We almost got lost in the middle of the night. 2. The distance boards on the road to give your guests hope that their getting closer. 3. Do inform the guests about the payment at rhe main entrance gate that they should be prepared for the payment to avoid conflict at the gate with the guards. Finally. The hotel reception lady deserve the award based on her attitude and character. She has a great personality and she is welcoming indeed.. I thank you

Perfekte Lage mit sehr schöner Umgebung und sehr gutem Frühstück. Die Riverside Huts sind etwas in die Jahre gekommen und haben Schimmel, besser die Riverside Lodge buchen.

Dropping in!

Extremely comfortable and roomy as we paid extra on the spot to be upgraded. The property was a self-catering house with sufficient beds for 8 people and the only sounds were of the stream gushing by below. Most relaxing. The negative side was the "easy" "suitable for families" "gentle" circular walk we took. There had been no advance warning that on the return leg which ran alongside the stream one had to cross it twice. It was in full flow and could only be crossed with difficulty and by ending up waist deep in water. My husband's hiking pole snapped with the force. Afterwards we did suggest to the management that an advanced warning sign should be put up at the beginning of the hike not when the "crossing at own risk" had already been reached.

L’accueil a l’arrivée fût vraiment TOP... le personnel est à vos soins et très souriant. Le dîner et le petit déjeuner sont FABULEUX et peu coûteux pour le rapport qualité prix. Comptez environ 390 maloti pour le repas par personne et 190 maloti pour le petit déjeuner continental chaud/froid - sucré/salé. L’environnement du lieu est absolument magnifique. Nous avons eu la chance d’y séjourner hors période touristique nous étions peu nombreux dans l’établissement ce qui a rendu le lieu encore plus magique par son calme absolu. Petit point négatif la piste pour monter jusqu’à à la réception est assez costaud ainsi que pour rejoindre River lodge ou les hutes mais cela permet de conserver les lieux et fais partie du décor en pleine nature.

Didn’t want to leave!

Absolutely incredible stay so much so that this was booked as an extra night last minute. We loved it and the only reason we did not mark it perfect is due to some hot/cold water issus in shower which is completely understandable when staying so remote in a riverside hut next to a river a lil far from the main lodge, so no complaints! We loved the staff and no many by name. Loved Nthabys classic G & T!!! The food was fresh and full of flavor since having a new Food and Beverage manager come Oct 2018, so the past reviews about lack of fresh food no longer apply. Either way the setting and friendliness would have made up for it ☺️

Service was very poor, and the property offers very little value for money. Everything was overpriced, from the room rate to the cost of breakfast, for what was actually delivered. The location is beautiful, but it has little to offer beyond that. Do not recommend.

A great setting , but not for solo travellers

I was “ upgraded “ to a property that was such a distance from the lodge , I ended up driving to and from it . As a single traveller , it was more than a little creepy to be in a four bedroom house on your own . The power cut and not being able to find candles didn’t help . The setting was great . The facilities were fine. It just needed someone to think about placing someone on their own so far away
